Well, here we are at week #4 already. I figure its about time for me to throw out another set of predictions, to let everyone know that I'm still alive.
If you don't like my predictions, please feel free to post here and tell me how horrible I am. I like the forums as active as possible, it gives me something fun to read!
LION
Johannesburg Jackals vs. Dakar Demons
Johannesburg comes into the game in a 4 way tie for first place in the division, and hope to keep that undefeated streak going against the Demons. Dakar has lost 2 in a row, and would love to get back on track with a big win this week. The Demons have a good team, but I like the JJ this week (for obvious reasons
) JJ wins 34-10
Congo Chubby Chasers vs. Morocco Loco Siroccos
Two undefeated teams square off in the Lion game of the week. The MLS looked impressive in their first two games, but looked a little more vulnerable last game, in a close win against the Stink Apes. Maybe someone should have warned them to wear nose plugs! CCC came into AA as one of the favorites to win the division, and hasn't disappointed yet. I think CCC will win this one 45-17.
PTT Rebels vs. Burundi Hutu
The Hutu came into this season with the best of intentions, but it takes more the intentions to win in this league. I wonder how much chemistry has to do with their early struggles. PTT on the other hand, hasn't struggled at all, and are coming of an impressive win against Answer Please. They have enough talent to win the division, and will win here. PTT 55-17.
Answer Please vs. African Fire
Before the season started, this match up would have really intrigued me, but now it looks a little lopsided. Answer Please has been looking good before they ran into the PTT buzz saw last week. African Fire have just looked out of place. They really are struggling, and I hope they find the answer to whats wrong soon. They definitely find the "Answer" this week, but not the one their looking for. Answer win 58-10.
Nigeria Golden Eagles vs. Serengeti Wildebeest
This should be a good game. Nigeria have won two in a row, after a rude welcome to the league from the RUF. Despite getting stomped by Answer two games ago, Serengeti has looked like a playoff caliber team. To be honest, I haven't watched either of these teams much yet, so I'm gonna wing this prediction. I'm gonna go with the Golden Eagles, 42-34.
Congo Lions vs. Charlie Don't Surf
The Lions have had kind of a rough start to the season, and are STILL holding on to that 8th spot in the division. They get a reprieve from the schedule maker this week, as they face off against Charlie Don't Surf. CDS are one of 4 Lion teams that remain without a win. They won't get one this week either. 200-3 Congo.
Uganda Stink Apes vs. Madagascar Black Mambas
Another good match up between two teams that have playoff aspirations. Uganda lost a heart breaker to Morocco in their last game, and look to bounce back against a very good Madagascar team. MBM is another team that has had a tough early schedule, and they do NOT want to fall to 1-3. In the end, one team has to lose, and will have a tough hill to climb to get back into the mix. I think I like the Mambas here, 40-38.
South African Bulls vs. Mikumi Black Bears
The Bulls are sure happy to be traveling to Mikumi this week, to face an almost all cpu Black Bear team. They will get their first win of the season, and can maybe build some momentum. The Bears are making their farewell tour of AA, and will hopefully be back someday new and improved. 150-0 Bulls.
ELEPHANT
Revolutionary United Front vs. Mamelodi Night Runners
The Elephant game of the week pits the 3-0 RUF against the 3-0 MNR. Both teams have looked VERY good thus far, and both of these teams want to win this game very badly. In the end, it could be the difference between playing at home in the 2nd round of the playoffs (and the extra money that comes with it), or playing on the road. I have to pick one, so.........I pick......... MNR to win 48-42.
Sierra Leone Head Shrinkers vs. Asmara Freedom Fighters
The Head Shrinkers have come into the league, and immediately showed everyone the talent that allowed them to win their division last season. The Freedom Fighters are looking poised this season to make some noise, and after a big loss last week against the Ratels want to come back and shock the undefeated Sierra Leone. Im gonna go for the underdog here, and pick the AFF to win 38-36.
Madagascar Misfits vs. Coalville Colliers
Madagascar has looked every bit as impressive as advertised, and will be a tough team each and every week. They are currently riding a 22 game winning streak, and would like to extend that this week against Coalville. The Colliers squeaked into the playoffs last season, but lost in the first round. Of course, they would like to do even better this season, and a win here would go a long way towards better playoff seeding. I think the Misfits win this one though, 54-24.
Tanzanian Thunderhawks vs. ßotswana ßone ßreakers
The Thunderhawks have had a tough schedule early, but if they want to be one of the best teams, they need to play better football. Their recent 124 point loss to MNR was not a good showing, and I hope they can fix whatever is broken. Botswana beat a solid Congo Lions team in game 1, but have lost 2 in a row, to a couple of tough teams. The team that loses will fall to 1-3, and will be hard pressed to get back into the playoff picture, in a very tough league. I like BBB to win this one 47-38.
Rhodesia Ratels vs. Mogadishu Outlaws
Another outstanding match up! After just missing the playoffs last season, the Ratels have been on fire, crushing some pretty good teams. They are looking great, and are thinking about that #1 seed. The Outlaws have a great team like always, and are looking to beat the Ratels to improve their record to 3-1. I think the Ratels are just too tough here. 60-24 RR
Stolichnaya Siberian Huskies vs.Vandelay Industries
mmmm Stolichnaya! Its making me thirsty just talking about them!
Both of these teams come into this game at 1-2, and need this win to pull to .500. In the end though, I don't know if either team has quite enough firepower to make the playoffs. I haven't really researched either of these teams at length, so I'm going to just guess here and say that the Huskies pull this one out. 39-36.
Maasai Death Tribe vs.Giza Gremlins
You know what? I kinda miss A-Wad....... Neither team is very good, and probably need to win this game in order to stay ahead of the relegation monster. I'll pick the Death Tribe to win..... You pick the score....
Cairo Crocodiles vs.Shinra Soldiers
Another match up of win less teams. Just like the other game, both teams want to win to help avoid relegation at the end of the season. I'll pick the Soldiers to win here, you pick the score again.
Have a fun week #4 everyone!
