Would it be worth having him play LT and picking this piece up?

That totally depends on the team. If you have alot of G depth, your build is suitable to play LT (at least 68 BLK and 68 AGI naturally), and the current LT is bad, then it could be a decent option.

The real concern is that even if it makes sense for the current team situation, it's likely that it may not in the future.
