I live in Texas they are canceling school, and wearing dust masks. Question is do u fear the Swine Flu?

If you're elderly, a little child, have a weak immune system, or unable to seek medical care you should be scared. Since I'm none of the above I'll have to answer no.

I only fear that I don't have stock in whoever makes those cheesy face masks.

I honestly think there would have to be some fear involved with everyone. Ballinbob, you may not be any of those but I would imagine that some of your family and friends are. I could be wrong though. I would hate to see anything happen to my 20 month old daughter!

Good point. Chlidren dieing not so good. but the question is do u fear the Swine Flu....Ok u anwsered the question u do because it could infect ur daughter, and u have no way to protect her from it. That is Fear. I also Fear for my Elderly grand parents that reside in Dallas Texas.

Dude, I'm more scared of the regular flu. So far only 1 person had died from swine flu in the United States. I forget the statistic, but I think over 16,000 people die from regular flu in the US yearly. We are blowing this way out of proportion only because it was something new (or new to the public eye).

Maybe you should leave Texas before they quarantine it. If you wait around to long they are going to cover the state in plastic and dudes will be walking around with astronaut looking suits wanting to probe you or something. Then your only choice will be to stay in the plasticy bubble hell or flee to Mexico, which is probably worse.

My bacon and eggs were great this morning.

No one has died in the US yet. The Little girl that died in Texas was transferred from Mexico and was too late to save her. The point is that traditional antibodies are working to kill the virus with little problems.

It is true that the main strain of Flu kills more people but again its mainly elderly or weak people with other complications.

Doesnt Mexico have socialized medicine? Just saying, over 160 people dead there!
