#2 Alberta Mounties------------------(1-0)-----(2)--------#11 New World Order-----After this game the Mounties start a very rough schedule over the following 8. 6 of those next 8 games have teams ranked in the top 7. The end of the schedule sets up nicely for them if they can survive that stretch.
#3 Moose Jaw Grizzles----------(1-0)--------(3)-----#6 Port Royal Acadians ------Moose Jaw actually trailed going into the 4th quarter, then turnovers and an offensive explosion struck. They beat maybe the best team in the east so this has them looking good but a solid Port Royal team is next on the schedule.
#4 Hogwarts Wizards---(1-0)-----(4)-------#13 Montreal Mutants------Just when I thought this team would be left for dead, they become a force again. The Mutants game is rivalry game of sorts. Hogwarts is up 3-1 in the series but the Mutants won the last game and the Wizards are looking for revenge.
#5 Yellowknife Eskimo Hunters----(1-0)----(5)----#12 New Colgne Bears--------------The Hunters played what I thought was the second best team in the East. The Punch gave them everything that they could handle and kept the Hunters offense off the field, but in the end a late FG gave the Hunters the win.
#6 Port Royal Acadians-----------(1-0)-----(6)-------#3 Moose Jaw Grizzles -----A very solid quiet win for these guys. If they find a way to pull an upset over Moose Jaw, it won't be so quiet anymore.
#7 Thunder Bay Sharks---------(1-0)------(7)---------#16 Yukon Badgers------One of the biggest questions on the season is how good is Thunder Bay really? Sure the they beat the Ducks and they are going to beat the Badgers. This team really is in limbo till the they play a top team.
#8 Shadow Spartans--------(1-0)-----(8)-------#14 Medicine Hat Mavericks-------I wasn't overly impressed by the win over Flin Flon as they might not even make the playoffs in the east. They need to beat the Mavs because right now they are holding on to 8th by a thread.
#9 BC Bruisers--------(1-0)----(10)-----#10 Saskatoon Fighting Gamecocks------Nice first win. Next up is a game that could knock one team from playoff hopes early on.
#10 Saskatoon Fighting Gamecocks--(1-0)---(11)----#9 BC Bruisers--------I can't put my finger on it but there is something about this team I like. Sure they have never had a winning record or made the playoffs, but I feel this team is a mover and I am predicting they end up in the playoffs and it starts with this next game.
#11 New World Order------(1-0)-----(12)------#2 Alberta Mounties------Well they got the first win in A out the way now it looks like they might go on a 3 game losing streak.
