We need to come up with a Blue\Grey type cup for bragging rights over who records the overall number of wins in interconference challenges.

Besides bragging rights- right big LEAST

Let’s take a look at the East vs West matchups of week 16…

E(1) Margaritaville vs W(13) Portland… East W
E(2) Northside vs W(1) Waco… TOSSUP
E(3) New Hampshire vs W(15) Ambridge… East W
E(4) Waco vs W(10) Scottsdale… East W
E(5) Rutgers vs W(4) Great Plains… TOSSUP
E(6) Chicago vs W(3) Oakland… TOSSUP
E(7) Carolina vs W(6) Spicewood… TOSSUP
E(8) Atchafalaya vs W(9) Hartford… TOSSUP
E(9) Harrisburg vs W(7) Dallas… TOSSUP
E(10) Washington vs W(2) Bel Air… West W
E(11) Orlando vs W(14) RGB… TOSSUP
E(12) Jacksonville vs W(16) Chicago … TOSSUP
E(13) Pocono vs W(8) New Brunswick… West W
E(14) Miami vs W(5) Las Vegas… West W
E(15) Cleveland vs W(11) Grand Haven… TOSSUP
E(16)Elk Rapids vs W(12) Miami… TOSSUP

I feel that the record before week 16 is even played is starting at East 3, West 3.

Now you can call me a homer if you want to but this is my opinion on how these matchups are favored. I could see the interleague games going many different ways but I think that the East is very top-heavy and the West is more balanced. I think the overall series will go something like 9-7 East.

Feel free to comment on how you guys think it will shake out...

I'm really looking forward to E v W because we each have conference pageantry. I wish we had a few more cross conference games.

Set up more like the NFL would be great. Each conference broken down to 4 divisions. You play your own division rivals twice which could really make some rival games in the future. Play another division in your conference. Play a division in the opposing conference.

Well, I don't want to look too far ahead.. we have a lot to take care of these next two games.. But here is a quick look at a preview without going too in depth.

E #1 Margaritaville (13-0) vs. W #13 Portland (3-10).

Margaritaville, simply put is unbelivable.. Portland honestly puts good work in every week but they have a lack of talent..

Winner: Margaritaville
W #1 Waco Davidians (12-1) vs. E #2 North Side (12-1)

Gonna be the absolute game of the week, like I said I won't go too in depth.. but many Easterners said their top 4 teams are better than any of us westerners.. this should be a big test. (I will have a representation pick for Waco, but honestly this is a draw.)

Winner: Even

E #3 New Hampshire (12-1) vs. W #15 Ambridge (1-12)

Will New Hampshire score 100 vs the fightin' CPU's?

Winner: New Hampshire

W #2 Bel-Air (11-2) E #10 Washington (5-6-2)

This could be a huge game for the Poison's play-off aspirations.. but the Bulldogs are playing as good as anyone in the A#7, I expect a 2 to 3 possesion victory.

Winner: Bel-Air

E #4 Waco Green Puffers (10-3) W #10 Scottsdale (5-7-1)

This was looking to be a huge game for Scottsdale, but now they have lost 3 in a row and are on the verge of being kicked out the picture.. From what I hear the Green Puffers are the real deal.

Winner: Waco Green Puffers

W #3 Oakland (10-3) E #6 Chicago Pterodactyls (9-4)

I'm interested in this one immensely. I think Oakland's QB, Cody Wilson can get a nice game through the air for a very close game.

Winner: Oakland

W #4 Great Plains (10-3) E #5 Rutgers (10-3)

OK, I play for Great Plains. So I have to pick us.. I'm sorry. Another fun ball game.

Winner: Great Plains

W #5 Las Vegas (9-4) E #14 Miami Roadfrogs (2-11)

Duke Nuke'em should have a big day on the ground, with Loostin as well.. Las Vegas handily.

Winner: Las Vegas

W #6 Spicewood (9-4) E#7 Carolina (7-6)

Spicewood is a very underrated team( gonna be a great game when we play them Thursday.) RJ Stew can throw around the rock. His Texas Longhorn friend Vincent Younger should have a solid day as well. This can be a very high scoring game.. Spicewood wins down the stretch.

Winner: Spicewood

W #7 Dallas (8-4-1) E #9 Harrisburg (6-7)

I haven't been keeping up with the East but it does appear from the outsiders room that they might be a tad overrated looking at some results.. Let's hope Dallas doesn't throw 60-70 times with 5 INT's like their role models ( Coach Leach and Texas Tech Red Raiders).

Winner: Dallas

E #8 Atchafalaya (WTF?) (6-6-1) W #9 Hartford (6-7)

This one will have huge playoff implications.. But Hartford is just about done, they need about everything to go their way with teams in front of them losing all their games and them winning it all.. Atcha is trying to SECURE their berth.. Expect the Swampers to pull away in the 2nd half with Hartford's lack of depth.

Winner: Atchafalaya

W #8 New Brunswick (8-5) E #13 Pocono (2-11)

New Brunswick might have to win this game to get in the playoffs. They should with whether they have to or not.

Winner: New Brunswick

W #11 Grand Haven (4-9) E#15 Cleveland (2-11)

The Mist's record is deceiving, they are really turning the corner the 2nd half of the season and should be a playoff contender next year.. Cleveland meanwhile, is hoping they don't get demoted.

Winner: Grand Haven

E #11 Orlando (3-9-1) W #14 RGB (2-11)

RGB is struggling to do anything right. They don't get the ball to their stud RB enough (Awooga) even if they did, it wouldn't help too much.. they get beaten easily on both lines. Orlando should win their last game with some momentum going into the next season.

Winner: Orlando

W #12 Miami Cyclones (4-9) E #16 Elk Rapids (1-12)

Miami should win this one handily.. they have a new QB in Temple and they are a team that can hang around (they beat Scottsdale in what was a game Scottsdale needed to use to get in the playoffs). Elk Rapids sucks.. and one of their best players is called Natural Light.. I mean I am in high school and all but still, if one of your best player is Natty Light, that is just not good.

Winner: Miami Cyclones

E #12 Jacksonville (3-10) W #16 Chicago (1-12)

Jax has had a lackluster season, but Chicago lost to Ambridge.. enough said.

Winner: Jacksonville

Not really in depth, just a quick look.. here's how the predictions ended.

West wins: 9-6-1.

I agree on the Waco vs. Northside game being a draw. It is fairly evenly matched. We will see soon though.

The Fins are a force to be reconed with, good luck with that game Portland. You get a taste of what we have been getting all season.

I wish the matchups could be set up to automatically match the squads up according to league positioning (ex. 1 would play 1, 2 vs 2, etc.). I think that would offer a much better idea of which league has more talent.

. . .

Not to mention the Poison are full of CPU nonsense... playoff aspirations? Did you even look at their team?

You have a right to punch me in this face.. cyber style. Kind of in a rush.. you think I would get it right since you beat us.. My bad.

As far as Washington.. sure they are CPU players.. but maybe YOU should look at the standings.. they are right there 1.5 games back of the 8th spot.

Haha, I figured.. I'm not trying to be critical with what you guys have done. You have done a solid job this year, (you, and all your other coaches). I guess I'm just being the Monday Morning Quarterback and criticizing you AFTER it didn't work.. I'm sure if it did, I would shut my little mouth.. sorry, maybe I am made to work for the press.

Thanks for the kind words and I didn't take it as criticism. We actually had a good laugh at it. There are only 2 TT fans on our team, we arent all completely mad.

As far as the game against Waco. We figured we would have to do something drastic to win. I didn't see a potential 17-7 loss as a morale victory. We went for it and are now wiser from it.

I was gonna complain about the heavy West selections, Matt, but you picked the Stars to win, so you must be paying some attention...

We'll see how it goes, I hope it's close! (the conference battle; we're gonna steamroll Chicago - it'll be nice to win by 30 again...

Haha, my bad on the Texas Tech assumption, now that I think back a couple days, I think I remember you saying something about being an Nc State Wolfpack guy. (What do you think of O'Brien so far? Is there much optimism for season 2?) Plus I'm hearing talk of Tech being a pre-season favorite to win Big 12 South.. as much as I like to see it, I think I they are another 9-3 Gator Bowl team, yet Crabtree will be a stud in the NFL. (My man Terrence Wheatley shut him down solid in Lubbock this year, though )Sorry for the confusion yet again.. look forward to matching up with you guys in week 14.

Sonny, I did feel my biases taking over some of the close ones, I ended up leaning towards the West. I do have to admit I haven't been paying attention to East enough (16 teams is enough to worry about) yet your conference and your team looks strong. Gonna be a great ride from here on out this season.
