Remember i only have scrimmages to base these reports off of, and once again if you have a major problem feel free to make your own, i'm open to constructive criticism though
other than that enjoy the read!
Game 1:
San Diego Boltz vs. New Brunswick beasts
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=5825&team2=217
Game Summary: Almost a battle of man vs. machine with 3/4 of the beasts roster coming via cpu the Boltz jump on them early but lack the human depth to really put them away, a relatively low scoring game considering the circumstances but huge numbers on the ground for the boltz put them up in the win column early with a 52-10 win over New Brunswick
Game 2:
Whistler Magicians vs. Newport Beach Brigadiers
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=5818&team2=5688
Game Summary: Literally a game of man vs. Machine with the Magicians lone human athlete looking to rack up the stats, unfortunately in the punt column, not even close 92-0 in favor of teh Brigadiers
Game 3:
!!!!!!!!!!!Game Of The Week!!!!!!!!!!!
Snoqualmie Wildcats vs. Vancouver Vampires
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=5791&team2=5800
Game Summary: Looking to ride their "Hulk" of a rushing attack against the best defensive player in the league the wildcats get stuffed too often but Barnett and Co. keep it interesting, but the levels make all the difference with the Vampires coming out on top 21-17
Game 4:
Cincinnati Cardinals vs. Toronto Terror
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=5672&team2=3534
With the Terror featuring humans only in skill positions and lacking depth the cardinals look to repeat their scrimmage performance win against toronto but this time in a more humiliating fashion. Mission accomplished as the Cardinals win 68-3 and move into week 2 confrence play with a winning record.
Game 5:
Seacrest Comes Out vs. A7 Nation Army
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=5508&team2=211
An absolute blow out in the scrimmage game, Seacrest is riding high defeating all 4 opponents in the scrimmage games. Albeit was pre season you can't dismiss their performance or their impressive backfield but the Nation Army also looks for revenge and avoid an opening season disaster, luckily for them it's on the road so not too many of their fans will have to sit through, although it's much closer than the score indicates Seacrest Comes Out on top no pun intended
with a 42-17 victory
Game 6:
Detroit Mini-Destroyers vs. Thunder Bay Pirates
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=5474&team2=1079
Mid-level cpus vs. low level humans for the first time in GLB it appears through pre season that the cpus have the edge, and the pirates stingy defense maintains its success and they pound the rock through four quarters but for detroit it couldn't be over soon enough, not much action but a big win for the pirates none the less 24-0
Game 7:
Thunder Bay Tiger Sharks vs. Regina Renegades
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=5462&team2=176
The highest levels in the league, accum. speaking, but lacking humans and a secondary put the renegades as HUGE underdogs against one of the west's finest. It's a rout and essentially "over before it began" with the Sharks circling in for the kill to the tune of a 94-0 win
Game 8:
Bancroft Jets vs.Guild of Calamitous Intent
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=3588&team2=218
Interesting game featuring the best secondary in the league, level wise, vs. a balanced and talented assault from bancroft. But that's about the only interesting part of the game as the Jets get their offense going early and stack against the run to the point where the Guild is forced to play into their weakness, through the air. Solid game for the Jets and they improve to a undefeated start to the season 63-0
Game 9:
Toronto Storm vs. Yukon Bring It
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=3469&team2=1835
After getting blown out in every pre-season game the storm look to rebound against one of the better eastern confrence teams, however yukon looks to prove it's place among the leagues elite and definately make a statement coming out of the gates firing on all cylinders. Better luck next time but toronto just gets caught in the eye of the storm that is Bring It and can't weather it through four quarters. Final Score Yukon 76 Toronto 17
Game 10:
La Cosa Nostra vs. Paris Renegade
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=3455&team2=5585
One of the East's best against One of the west's best, however paris' preseason left much to be desired whereas the Nostra was as good as advertised, verdict......preseason tells the tale as the Nostra run their pass to the hb heavy offense along with a stout rushing attack all the way to a 34-14 victory
Game 11:
Ellesmere Island Polar Bears vs. Rithwic Drudges
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=3429&team2=5881
A game featuring two of the lower pre season ranked teams shouldn't get much media attention, but should be fun to see if depth or levels prevail, my say is the levels due to the key positions and 12+ difference, and it won't be close, final score 42-0 Polar Bears victory.
Game 12:
Admission Price vs. Hudson Bay Hornets
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=1877&team2=1845
The Hornets, another team in the early stages of building hit the Admission price a solid middle of the pack eastern confrence team, and it might as well be an exhibition because this isn't gonna be pretty. With 12+ levels on average and solid depth throughout, the only reason why the Hornets may compete is if the Price don't show up do to locker room issues and poor chemistry, but after the coin toss the game is over Price 79 Hornets 3
Game 13:
Hungry Hungry Hippos vs. Mayan Prophecy Training Squad
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=1863&team2=3653
Two Middle of the road to bottom tier teams looking to add an early win to a season that shouldn't see too many. The prophecy, a run heavy team featuring the single best player in the league anchoring their oline are no match for the depth, although underperforming hippos who feast on Big 'EZ and crew to the tune of 56-21
Game 14:
Monroeville Riveters vs. Oshkosh Electric Vikings
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=1826&team2=5703
Looking to ride their Hugh Jazz Arm all the way to respectability the Vikings pass pass and pass some more and the riveters just can't keep up, it's a shoot out but favoring the higher levels and the vikings win 63-42
Game 15:
Vancouver Jaguars vs. Winnipeg Revolution
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=234&team2=3660
Although both team feature similar levels both teams under performed in the scrimmages but the revolutions performance was almost painful to watch whereas the jaguars displayed signs of playoff contention. Ultimately that makes all the difference as the Jaguars have their moments and the revolution hit the drawing boards once again Vancouver 41 Winnipeg 13
Game 16:
North America Noblemen vs. Sexy MO Beasts With Hooters
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=163&team2=5433
Sexy MO looks to have found their groove but the Noblemen come into this game riding an undefeated scrimmage matchup, however the strength of schedule just wasn't there, the nobleman try to run their balanced offense that rely's heavily on rushing success but against that stout defense good rushes are far and few between, so forced to hit the air, where their 38% completion rate just doesn't cut it while the Hooters display shimmers of hope to those who have them emerging in their playoff brackets as the west champs but still can't put the games away, but come out with a big win opening week Hooters 24 Noblemen 7
