To fellow team owners and interested parties:

In the interest of fairness and world peace, etc. I have removed my Level 30+ players from the depth chart and promoted my slow-build wave to fill the positions. While this isn't ideal, it gives us a chance to compete this year, and allows us to keep the better players in reserve in case we get promoted into another ridiculous league, as has happened before.

(I should add that the removal doesn't apply to the 2 Level 30+ players owned by friends from IRC, but I'm hoping that will be acceptable to those involved, especially considering that the slow-build wave is all Level 18.)

Good luck to everyone... and let's have some fun out there!

funny how its fair now that on avg our players are 4 -5 levels lower then any other teams but yea now its fair

LOL

this is my stand also told the owner

i agree that its no fun to win every game just cause we can and its no fun to submit and lose every game too because we cant compete with our lower tier guys

we can only be fair to ourselves... and thats trying to make every game competitive and even out the playing field not starting all our best guys but not starting level 10 guys either

Why in the world would you do that. Sec, play your full team and win. You probably will kick my butt, but it's no fun playing a backup team

Looks like we are sacrificing more then just a season imo

with the amount of players SEC has letting you all win because of owners like MidwayMonster who made such a fuss (that we cheated) that the owner is basically forfeiting our season by playing our lowest tier guys.....

That would be fine with me but our guys are not getting equipment upgrades because we cant sell tickets ect ect if we dont win games its a ripple affect that will last more then this season...its pretty much going to ruin and set back the team for future seasons

I also want to apologize to all the people i offend with my opinionated sarcasim on the last thread ...I know its only a game and i was out of line

Good Luck To All Your Teams (Fight On USC #1)

Yo dumbass they avg lvl 36, and 24 is the median lvl. Try a math class

There are three concepts which are often confused: mean (average), median, and mode.

Mean (Average) is the sum divided by the count.
Median is the middle value of a list of sorted values.
Mode is the value that occurs the most.

Using a list with a similar composition/ratio to SEC SPEED's players across the entire roster:
39 37 37 37 35 25 24 18 18 18 18 18 18 18 18 18 18 18 16 11

The mean (average) is 22.95.
The median is 18.
The mode is also 18.

First of all, using the median value of the entire roster is what has created this problem, and led to several teams (including ours) ending up in a Level 24 capped league with Level 30+ players. In theory, Level 50+ players could have been put in here too, as long as their median was under 24. A much better way to sort teams would have been based on a mean (average) of each team's 20 highest level players or so. (Granted, there are ways to manipulate that as well, so perhaps the exact method of sorting should have been kept secret.)

Hopefully GLB staff will respond and we can come up with a way to make this fair to all the teams in this league, including ours.
