#1 Margaritaville Fins 12-0 vs. Chicago Pterodactyls 9-3
Two of Chicago’s three losses have been by a touchdown or less. They pulled of their first big win last game with a 33-7 win over the quickly slipping Waco Green Puffers. Will this be the week? Highly doubtful, the best chance for the Fins to slip up is most likely in the playoffs. They have been to good on both sides of the ball to falter now. Chicago ground out 190 yds on the ground last week, but their 3.5 ypc will be dramatically lower this week.
-Prediction: Fins 42-10 over the Pterodactyls

#2 North Side Dream Killers 11-1 vs. Jacksonville Stars 3-9
The Dream Killers were not very convincing in their 26-3 win last week, the yards were there, but they couldn’t seem to put the ball in the endzone. On the other hand, Jacksonville is coming of their first win in six games. They threw and ran with great efficiency. Look for the Dream Killers to stall the Stars offense by shutting down the run or the pass and killing drives much earlier then their 23-7 win last week.
-Prediction: Dream Killers 41-6 over the Stars.

#3 New Hampshire Dragons 10-2 vs. Harrisburg Hawks 6-6
The Dragons are coming off a convincing win where the backups even got some good pt in the second half. The Hawks have found themselves fighting to keep their playoff spot. They are outmatched in this game, and their final game of the season is against a 7-4-1 team from the west. It is looking like going 2-2 to finish out the season will probably keep them in the playoffs, probably, but the matchup in the first round will not be comforting. Their absolutely miserable rushing game last week ended up killing their offense. The Hawks QB has got a lot on his shoulders this week, in fact, the whole team.
-Prediction: Dragons 30-13 over the Hawks

#4 Rutgers Scarlet Knights 10-2 vs. Carolina Cardiac Cats 6-6
Rutgers had a convincing win against one of the mid-level teams last week. Their balanced offense got the job done. It was their run defense that kept the game from being close. Carolina will need to mix things up to come up with a win this week. They had a solid win last week, but the competition is raised. I think it will be closer then it maybe should be, but the Knights will control the game with their rushing.
-Prediction: Knights 27-17 over Carolina Cardiac Cats

#5 Chicago Pterodactyls – See #1

#6 Waco Green Puffers 9-3 vs. Miami Road Frogs 2-10
The Puffers are reeling from their loss last week. It isn’t just the loss, it’s the way they lost. They need a good rebound game prove that they belong among the top teams. They still have two more extremely hard games, they need to play well or they will see themselves out of contention for a home game. The Frogs were dominated last week. They couldn’t run, pass, or take advantage of turnovers they caused. They will struggle against a team looking for dominating win.
-Prediction: Puffers 48-3 over the Frogs

#7 Harrisburg Hawks – See #3

#8 Carolina Cardiac Cats – See #4

#9 Atchafalaya Swamp Weretigers 5-6-1 vs. Elk Rapids Elks 1-11
I will make my prediction now, the Weretigers will win out and squeeze into the playoffs. At most, they will have one loss vs. the Hawks, but I have a feeling. They will need to lean hard on their QB though. Elk Rapids Elks have struggled running the ball, they need to go extreme to have a chance in this game.
-Predictions: Weretigers 24-3 over the Elks.

#10 Washington Poison 4-6-2 vs. Pocono Mountain Highlanders 2-10
The poison have some gaping holes in their team, but they play better then they look. This game is going to be the easiest of there last 4. If they managed to win two more games this season, it would be an accomplishment for a team searching for their identity. The Highlanders have the worst losing streak in the conference. They are better then there record though. They just cant manage to win the close games. I think this will be a good game.
-Prediction: Poison 13-10 over the Highlanders

#11 Orlando Ninjas 3-8-1 vs. Cleveland Kardiac Kids 1-11
After only winning one game in their first 8, the Ninjas have managed to lose only one of the past four games. They are finishing off the season strong. Their running game has been keeping games close for them, and they will need it for this game. The Kids are a balanced team, the problem is that they have not improved their roster from the beginning of the season. They do seem to have a good defense though. They will keep the game close, but will lose.
-Prediction: Ninjas 10-6 over the Kids

#12 Jacksonville Stars – See #2

#13 Pocono Mountain Highlanders – See #10

#14 Miami Roadfrogs – See #6

#15 Cleveland Kardiac Kids – See #11

#16 Elk Rapid Elks – See #9

Good Job.

Facing the hawks going to be a tough game for us. They have a good Off, so we are not going to take this game easy. Best of luck to everyone.

I'd like to sing a few praises to the East...

It's nice to see some initiative finally emerging on behalf of the eastern conference. From what was originally a vacant wall full of "wannabe" posters, it seems the East has truly taken on a life of its own. Now, naturally, I'm going to be slightly biased towards the West (and I still think the East is still a little too bitter, and could end with the West bashing that seems to go on every other day) but it's great to see some consistency in posting.

With both sides of the conference actively vocal in their conference's activities and games, I think it only adds to the excitement that GLB has to offer (and adds for the potential of a "friendly" conference rivalry...).

I can't wait till the postseason begins, when we will edge even closer to that final prime-time event - the West Vs. East showdown.

Nice work with the Matchups CRich. I know the rest of your league (and I'm sure several members from the West) truly appreciate the effort you have started to put forth for the East. I understand the ammount of time and effort it takes, especially for those who have work and school that most likely suffers due to constant posting on this site.

Keep it up guys!

All the power to USA A#7...

Appretiate the props man, it does take time, to much. It is kinda fun though. Actually, I am looking foreward to comparing week 16 matchups between the East and the West. It will be fun. I have the luxury of playing Waco, should be good.

well done!

I guess the pressure is on the Weretigers now to live up to the prediction.

Great job as always CRich. I take it there was no booze involved this time. I'm disappointed for some reason. Not that I'm saying you need to get loaded to write. You just need to get loaded. I know I'll need a few after today's game. I just hope the Fins don't go all prison sex on us.

If only you researched as much as I've game planned this week. I've found some kinks, hopefully we can exploit them.

Really close game, 4 turnovers and we barely pulled out the win. Good game.

I second that. GG hawks, that was a tough one.

dragons trailing by 4 late in the 4th, 54 yard pass with 0:48 left to put it on the one yard line, Dragons get the go ahead touchdown with 0:22 left on the clock. What a great game. I am sure that is a heartbreaker for the hawks, but wow, what a great game.

I was just so excited throughout the game because we were playing so well, then that pass happened. I really thought we were going to be able to stop that last drive...

Good game though, one of the best games in the conference all year.

Good game, Cleveland. We should have had that game, but your defense came through when it mattered the most, taking a drive where we started on your 9 yard line, and holding us to a field goal. That was the difference in the game. Well-earned victory. Good job on stopping our running game too.
