Right now I have all my equipment in blocking and have 121 total blocking. Should I split that between blocking and strength?

Also, which SA's are helpful to not get pancaked in both the run and pass games?

falling over is a battle of strength, not blocking.

What about SA's? Are any of those good for avoiding pancakes?

My guy seeks out pancakes. I try to avoid avoiding them!

I assume you mean reverse panackes. I'd say strength and agility are the biggest ones...but anything that helps you hold a block should help you out.

This is ridiculous. My center has a total of 115 strength and he gets pancaked all the time. i really think it is more related to agility.

I'm starting to believe in the "agility pancake" as well, I've noticed several times during last season my Guards went up against a DT I knew had similar/ less strength than my G, but they still pancaked him. Had to be agility.

I don't know. My center has 108 strength, 97 block and 80 agil and I see his dot fall over all the time.

Jesus...I have no idea what it is.

Can't be vision or speed.

Do you guys (and I am just throwing this out there) but think it is tackling? I have read that tackling can improve an OL's ability to understand what it takes to get tackled to counter it.

I would really like thoughts on this....we need to figure out this pancake formula.

what I'm curious about is how many times people are really seeing reverse pancakes on rushing plays, or before the ball is thrown on passing plays. Like my guys fall down almost immediately after the pass is thrown, but I consider that a game dynamic bug, as the oline stops doing anything the second the pass is thrown, the dline keeps moving, breaks the block, and quite easily knocks my guy down. But outside of that, I don't have a good sense of how often I actually get reverse pancaked, and to be honest, I don't remember it being super drastic, especially considering how often oline got pancakes last season.

People get reverse pancaked a whole lot less than they think imo. It's just as you said, when blocks are broken, the O line guy tends to fall down when trying to resume the block. Also if you are blocking "in front" of a ball carrier, and the ball carrie runs to a place that you're no longer in front of, the D-lineman is probably just going to disengage and try to run toward them, at which point your guy will probably attempt to make a cut block. And this can happen so fast that it actually looks like reverse pancaking is happening, when it isn't.

yeah, an attempt to execute a cut block may look the same as a pancake in the sim. but the number of times my C falls down is more than the total # of pancakes executed against our whole team, so I know most of the time it isn't actually a reverse pancake.
