Actually, there isn't really any homoroticistic side effects. It's all psychosomatic. They simple choose to be their true selves right before the death ray warms their innards.

On a side note, recent research has shown that approximately 95% (+ or - 1 std deviation) of men, with very strong homoerotic tendencies, like to post pictures of Tom Brady in reference to themselves, such as an avatar. Personally, I never really thought about it, but it kind of makes sense.
