Too bad GCMM is leaving for AAA, or I'd take great pleasure in demolishing your team and sending them back to the hole they came from (Oceania A#1)

yeah dd has a point you guys are in for a rough season. very few teams can come in here in one season and win it all like gmcc but that was definately an exception

It'll be interesting to see how the league changes with the new faces. Alpha still has some incredibly good ball clubs left from last season. Spots 1 through 8 are filled with those new clubs, but the older teams at 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 are tough-as-nails veteran AA teams that played pretty well last year in a top-heavy conference.

If the new promotions are near the same level it could be one of those seasons where 10 wins won't guarantee you a playoff spot.

We were 10-6 and we were, if I recall, a 6th seed. Bendigo had 9 wins and was an 8 seed. If the top of Alpha plays as close as they are on paper I'm saying that a 9-win team won't have a shot at an 8 seed.

Why did we not pass last season? Let's see...

Gold Coast: 25 runs, we lose.
Port Moresby: 17 runs, we lose.
Danish: 25 runs, we lose.
Trilla: 28 runs, we lose.
Telstar: 25 runs, we lose.
Taylor: 29 runs, we lose.

Of the 10 games we won every single game we ran the ball more than 30 times. Our playoff game against Port Moresby we took a team that had beaten us by 14 points and took them to double overtime. 69 rushes. I'm not sure what it was about our gameplan, receivers, or offensive line but when we threw the ball we lost games. So, yes, we stopped throwing the ball.

Ok, I mis-read that, my bad. It was the collective "you," not "you Norfolk Island" you.

And, yeah, we signed a new QB during the scrimmages after the playoffs were over.
