Starting to see some clustering in both conferences among the playoff teams outside the top couple.

WEST
1) Mentone Beach Assault tough, when they avoid turnoveritus
2) Corpus Christi Illegal Aliens 33 point win over Long Beach last game
3a) Bakersfield Nanananas now we start a group of five teams very tightly clustered in level of play; Bakersfield has probably looked the least impressive of this group over the past five games, but before that they won enough head-to-head matchups to warrant this spot in the cluster
3b) Mighty Chihuahuas 7 point win over Dallas last game was not their finest hour
3c) Long Beach Dub All-Stars playing very competitively with other contenders to make the argument for 3rd best team in the West, but still a long way from the top 2 teams
3d) Virginia George Washingtons much improved since their struggles earlier in the season, but still inconsistent
3e) Saginaw Supernovas have made a case they belong at this level, with solid games the past few weeks, especially the 32 point spanking of Beantown two games ago
8a) Dallas Hitmen would be a strong contender for the #3 spot in the East, but in the West struggling to make the playoffs
8b) Beantown Bastards they're not as good as I thought they might be, but are still a playoff contender
10) Big Bear Avalanche looking forward to next season
11) Steel City Sentinels 2-6 the last eight outings, and both wins were against cupcakes
12) Idaho Rex did a decent job keeping the score respectable against Beantown last game
13a) Eugene SLUGs showing some improvement
13b) Los Angeles Cobras CPU
15) Pittsburgh Stillers
16) Washington Bow Chicka Brown Cows

EAST
1) Tennessee Fury undefeated, but no credit for beating up on a cupcake last game
2) Boston Bears a fierce team coming off another win, but no credit for beating a cellar-dweller
3a) Sleepy Hollow Horsemen would be in a multi-way tie for the 8th spot if they were in the West
3b) Dirty Cheetahs are edging back up the rankings
3c) Louisiana State Tighas playing very competitively
6a) Enghave Evolution Find a way to edge out a lot of games, including ones they should win easily
6b) Phoenix Scorpions still a playoff-quality team, and still dangerous
6c) Saint Paul Vulcans should round out the playoff teams
9a) Houston Toxins still hoping to sneak into the playoffs
9b) New Jersey Mobsters 1-7 last eight outings
11) NJ Hitmen
12) Los Angeles Bicycle Clowns
13) Philadelphia Birds
14) Atlantic City Aces
15a) Iowa Hogeyes CPU
15b) Texas Wrecking Crew CPU

INTER-CONFERENCE TIERS

Instead of a "top 8", I'm going to do some tiers for the inter-conference piece

TIER 1: Really should be in AA (at least)

TIER 2: Would be in a hunt for the League Championship if not for those **** Tier 1 teams

TIER 3: Will probably be pretty dangerous next season, if they stay in A6, and the above teams in their Conference move up

TIER 4: Should be a solid playoff team next season in A6

Wow...I hope you're right. I'm looking at this thing and thinking that we need to catch a few breaks to even have a shot. I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Also, as someone who has played both, I think the Chihuahuas have a pretty sizable edge....I'd say they win by 10....

Holy smokes...was I wrong on both...We handled Bakersfield quite easily...(16-10, but we also had a fumble lost while going in for a score, and their only TD came on an 88 yard kick return)...and Virginia beat up the Chihuahuas VERY impressively. Just goes to show you at this level match-ups and game planning are everything. How the heck did we beat Virginia?

I was arrogant and didn't take you guys seriously. That's not to say that you still wouIdn't have won, but it should have been a lot closer than it was. figured that I would just leave what we had and would cruise by you. I will never make that mistake again as you handled us easily. The Big Bear game I counted as a win, but my arrogance got me beat again.

We couldn't stop a thing on D. We have to do some damage control with our AI. The last two weeks have been pretty bad for us; allowing far to many pts against.

Hey JJ Blitz, your only td came on a fumble return. We threw a pick in your redzone, dropped two third downs, and gained more yards than you. I wouldn't say you handled us. Your 2.2 ypc average should tell you that. But good game. We'll see you again.

Both D's were outstanding....Throw out your kick return and our fumble return, and we beat you 9 - 3 . Nah...didn't mean any disrespect there. As I said before, I really expected you'd guys would beat us by about the same margin. GG for sure.
