With 2 teams tied at 10 and 2, 2 teams tied at 8 and 4, 3 teams tied at 7 and 5,
and topping it with 1 team sandwiched in the middle of all of that, I smell
playoff football is a coming
4 games left & 3 wins or losses seperates playoff bound from early vacation
Let us get the guppies out of the way
Palmer Moose vs. Milan Cock Fighters
Could be a good game as the Moose was able to move the ball last week,
but Milan gets is lacking something here
Palmer 35 to Milan 26
Final: 48-98
Frankfurt Thundercats vs. Schiffertown Griffin's
Frankfurt is not out of the playoffs, yet, but games against Olympus,
Regensburg & The Diamonds pretty much will
Frankfut 69 to Griffin's 0
Final: 196-0
Douai Sharks vs. #9 Italian Stallions 7-5
While I would love to see the Stallions chock on the Sharks after the
beat my London Rippers, that is unrealistic.
Douai is out of it
Douai 26 to Italy 57
Final: 3-51
El Campo Ricebirds vs. #7 Regensburg Steel Rain 7-5
Regensburg gets the retribution game for the BMW butt whooping they took
last week Iceland appears to be the last major game for them unless.
Frankfurt can come up with some of that magic from the BMW game earlier
this season.
El Campo 20 to Regensburg 71
Final: 6-150
The Forsaken vs. #2 Amsterdam Chronic Crusaders 10-2
While Amsterdam has the easier match up of the 10 and 2 teams this week,
they don't appear to have much standing in their way of a 14 and 2 finish.
Forsaken 28 to Amsterdam 44
Final: 3-21
#3 Icelandic Vikings 10-2 vs. #8 Olympus Immortals 7-5
Iceland needs this win to try & keep pace with Amsterdam here.
Olympus has been riding the roller coaster this season with wins over
Italy and BMW, but losses to London, Empire, Regensburg, and Empire
I think they are finally pulling into the final turn though.
Iceland 35 to Olympus 32
This became a game of inches. While Iceland went with a
heavy ground game, 59 rush to 29 pass, Olympus took the
opposite approach of 40 passes to 28 rushes. Olympus held
the 3 point lead with 4:00 on the clock & the Vikings were
able to keep the ball moving, use their timeouts well, &
drive to the 21 before putting up the tying FG.
In the extra round, Iceland was able to grind out 39 yards
on the ground and 7 through the air to give kicker
Real Curse-Worn-Smythe II the 34 yard FG try.
Final: 32-29 in Overtime
#4 Bavarian Motor Works 9-3 vs. The Diamond Crusaders 12-0
Similar to Olympus, BMW shows stretches of being an M3 class over Iceland
and Regensburg and then stretches of being a 128i against Olympus, Amsterdam,
and Frankfurt.
The Diamond Crusaders need to keep driving hard to finish well as they have
shown a few signs of being almost beatable this season.
BMW 24 to Diamond Crusaders 27
Final: 9-51
#5 The Evil Empire 8-4 vs. #6 London Rippers 8-4
One team will drop into another tie for playoff positioning while another
gets to solidify a possible 1st round home field advantage.
Both teams have shown some similar signs of brilliance and mortality, so
this will be a gut checker.
Evil Empire 36 to London 45
The Empire & London went into the 2nd half tied up, but
the second half went to The Evil Empire's backfield of
Paul Kagame, 14 rushes for 72 yards, &
Aleksei Sytsevich aka "Rhino", 18 rushes for 64.5 yards.
Final: 27-20
Hati Wolfrun, 777 Sports. I am here with team owners mikeyte & kiliki76 from the London Rippers.
4 weeks now your team has been coming up short against the top playoff contending teams. What
is your plan to turn this around within the final 3 games of the regular season?
mikeyte: Well, this is all part of the master plan. We are just going to do our thing before we
slash their throats in the playoffs & feel the warm spray of blood on our faces.
kiliki76: After we take care of the BMW's redlight women, we figure we should have enough in
the bag to take care of the Viking's bloodlust & cat fetish. Isn't that right Mr. Bigglesworth?
Mr. Bigglesworth: meow
HW: But at the rate your team is going, will you make the playoff?
kiliki76: We will only miss the playoffs if we run out of scalpels.
HW: I am Hati Wolfrun, 777 Sports, & that's a wrap.
