Is it nice to see some parity and not just a 4 team race in either division.

Sure, there are some dominant teams still, that by all rights probably belong in AAA right now. However, there are a ton of good middle tier teams fighting it out for playoff spots.

Kinda reminds me of seasons 3/4/5 in EE AA3

yep they got this league right this season. Lots of challenges and fun.

If you take Orcland out of the equation, Alpha's been very closely fought, though Zeta feels like there are 3 or 4 distinct tiers of competition. The 6 teams in the upper tier have been fighting it out nicely though. Sadly, the botton tier really didn't belong in this league, and we lost probably the best 2nd-tier team (or worst 1st-tier) in week 6 when Fiji went CPU.

Been a fun season, despite not having the DPC.

true, I am on the Alpha side so that is where my frame of reference is. With these close games I find myself checking and tinking much more than in previous seasons.

yeah the Defensive side here at orcland is making changes at least twice a season now...

Nah, we just got shafted last year with gimps to our D, now that it is fixed we are playing like a tier 1 team again somehow...

So we continue our Defensive Dominance. or something like that >.>

I'd say it's more your player levels and more importantly, roster depth, than your gameplanning that has made you dominant. You guys are a great challenge, but def not Dick LeBeau by any means.

You're partially wrong Foh Shizzle. While we do outlevel most teams here it is not a significant margin. Also, if you follow our past seasons, defense has always been our strong point. Atatak is a great DC. Period. You are foolish to think anything else.

He may be, but those few levels do help a TON in the VA department. Having even an average of 5 VA points(probably more than that) per starter more than anyone else is a major boost, since that means you've got around 3.5 more speed or agi than anyone you play(big deal if your whole team is just straight up faster, esp on defense.)

Regardless, You'll be in AAA next year, you'll need those points there.

I read Foh's post that the totality of the Orcs depth and talent has made them dominant....sure that's a given...

I think we can all agree that Levels, Good Builds, and Depth will give you a top 10 defense....putting it all together to make the top 3 requires an excellent DC....plus a little help from the offense to score points, win the time of possession battle, etc.

Now if the Orc's offense was league average (19/20) and the Defense still in the top 3....that's when you can place the Dick LeBeau tag on Atatak....the closest team I see in that department is DSSS. (you can mail me the $5 )

Not to take diminish Atatak's work - I'm just basing this off of the leagues stats on what it tells me.

I never said I was Dick LeBeau.

I in fact suck as a DC, I mean I am a much better build advisor than anything else... I suppose that's why our D tends to stay on top is just dominant builds and good maintenance.

on a side note, why does it matter what place our O is? I'm glad we are finally getting up there for offense. Our D has been top 5 basically every year and only a couple great seasons (like this one) has our offense been good as well.

If you have backups at the same lvl as your starters, and their even 1-2 lvls higher on average than over half the league, I am not giving your game planning any credit. Im sure Atata is a great DC. I'm happy for you.

By the way, anybody seen the Samoa Titans around this season? Could of sworn they moved up with us and the Cubs from A#5....
