GAME OF THE WEEK
Maine Hawks v Vice City Mambas
Really only two game of the week candidates in this stinker of a week and I like this one better because it should be more competitive. Maine is a playoff team for sure and VC really needs to keep winning to fend off NO and Buffalo, but they likely make it. Talent-wise these two teams match up extremely well. VC has scored well on everyone but the Hammerheads. Maine has been a bit more schizo, but played much better D than VC. I think D wins between two good teams. Maine 30, Vice City 24.

OTHER GAMES

Red River Chiefs v Dakota Bison
No curse of #1 this week. RR 255, Dakota 0.

Miami Hammerheads v Da NOLA Brah!!! K&B Purples
The #2 spot is secure as well. Miami 90, Da NOLA 3.

Miami Makos v Bowdoin Polar Bears
Yup, my power poll will look really smart this week. Miami 75, Bowdoin 7.

Houghton Gremlins v Destin Pigskin Pimps
Smart, like I was saying. Houghton 255, Destin 0.

Montana Grizzlies v Atlanta Wolves
These are two teams that have been punched in the head recently, but both will be in the playoffs. This one's all about seeding. Both teams were blown out last week, Montana despite winning the yardage battle which tells me it was all about turnovers (i.e. 3 INTs). That kind of thing doesn't happen every day and I like their strength (offense) better than Atlanta's strength (defense). Montana 38, Atlanta 17.

New Orleans Poison v Buffalo Beasts
Another in the game of the week consideration because the loser is pretty much out of the playoff race unless they pull major upsets somewhere else. If NO wins, they will likely move up to #7 in the standings, at least temporarily. I do think NO has a little stronger team overall, but Buffalo's scrappiness continues to intrigue. I think the Poison take to the air here and Buffalo will likely give up a lot of yards there. New Orleans 27, Buffalo 20.

Manhattan Massacre v Pittsburgh Powerhouse
Manhattan will come out respectable in the final standings. Manhattan 55, Pittsburgh 20.

GG Montana, that played out pretty much how I thought it would. I thought we did well against your running game, but our ST's got torched yet again. If we'd have been able to recover one of your fumbles it might have played out differently, but that's how it goes. Good job, you guys earned it.

GG Atlanta, we were able to make a few big plays when we needed, played rather weird on 3rd and long with the runs (AI fix), but was a great game, close down the wire, and yes, those fumbles not being lost were huge.
