Europe East AAA #2 Power Rankings

INTRODUCTION
Welcome to this week's edition of sawedust's EEAAA2 Power Rankings, (unofficially) sponsored by adidas. All Day I Dream About Sawedust... and when he's going to post those power rankings.
Well, here they are.
It is day 20, unofficially the halfway point for Season 2 of GLB. Time sure goes by fast during the season. I wish the offseason would pass just as quickly.
Anyway, back to topic. Week 10 in Europe East AAA #2 saw its fair share of upsets and victorious underdogs.
Over in the Alpha Conference, a re-kindled Wisla Krakow team defeated Dnipropetrovsk in what was a surprise to many. Wisla had been without owner Keiichi for an extended period of time. His return sparked life into the team and thus a victory.
Prague was an underdog this week against Detroit, despite having one of the biggest winning streaks this season. I doubt anyone will be calling Prague overrated after a 19-13 victory.
INTERESTING FACT: Both teams lost to The Geriatric Couch Potatoes in last year's playoffs.
But the biggest story out of Alpha is Barger Hill's rout of Albuquerque, a 108-0 shutout. If there was any doubt which team is number one for this week, then BHB just smashed the rest of the competition.
In the Zeta Conference, it was another ho-hum week with no surprises.
Stalingrad and Lafayette posted huge wins over their opponents, with SGA putting a 61-0 whooping on Samara and the Rajun Cajuns defeating Elancourt, 48-0.
The Double Points Game of the Week presented by ahnonamis ended up as a no-brainer, as Austin defeats Budapest on the road 33-13. Both teams had been doing relatively well up to this point as they fight for a playoff spot. Let's see if they can continue their run at the postseason.
For those of you who are new to the sawedust Power Ranking system, here's an explanation of how these rankings have been set up:

The following statistics have been broken down into two parts: Overall Season and Last Four Games. The "Overall" portion takes into account a team's performance over the entire season. The "Last Four Games" portion takes into account a team's recent performances. By using the L4 in my stats, I am able to accurately gauge how well a team is currently doing (if players were signed/released, etc). Anyway, here are the stats used...
Win-Loss
For the most part, winning is everything. More wins equals more points in the rankings.
Strength of Schedule
This determines the level of opponents a team has faced.
Margin of Victory
There is no room for sympathy in GLB. Blow your opponents out in order to move up in the rankings.
Points For/Against
This gauges the overall strength of a team's offense and defense.
Miscellaneous
Players, tactics, etc.
So now that you understand the system...
Here are your OFFICIAL Week 10 Power Rankings!
THE TOP TEN
1. Barger Hill Burglars (10-0), 65.039
Barger Hill extends their lead over Lafayette to two points after a major thrashing over Albuquerque. With that performance, Barger Hill is very close to taking over Stalingrad's claim as the best offense in all of EEAAA2. Four straight shutouts are equally impressive.. Last game: Win vs. Albuquerque Regulators, 108-0... Next game: Away at Detroit Cheetahs (7-3)... Last week: #1 (same)
2. Lafayette Rajun Cajuns (10-0), 64.212
Lafayette improves their streak of keeping their opponents out of the end zone to ten games with a shutout win over Elancourt. Lafayette now hits the tough part of their schedule in the upcoming weeks, with six solid teams waiting for their shot at giving the Rajun Cajuns their first loss of the season. Last game: Win vs. Elancourt Templiers, 48-0... Next game: Away at Windy City Bears (8-2)... Last week: #2 (same)
3. Krakow Outlaws (9-1), 54.187
Krakow retains the third spot this week, but drops five points in the power rankings due to the Lafayette game dropping out and an underwhelming win against relatively weak competition for the third week in a row. Nevertheless, it's an easy road to the playoffs from here. I expect the Outlaws to be well-rested heading into the first round. Last game: Win vs. Palermo Pounders, 36-7... Next game: Away at Athenian Pitbulls (1-9)... Last week: #3 (same)
4. Stalingrad Gryphon Army (9-1), 53.101
Another dominant performance by EEAAA2's number one offense, a 61-0 embarassment for the Samara Salukis. Loud-mouthed POOPERDOG7 makes his unwelcome return to the league, drawing some ire from the league and even his own teammates. Could this lead to a SGA self-destruction? Last game: Win at Samara Salukis, 61-0... Next game: At home vs. Nashville Nobles (1-9)... Last week: #4 (same)
5. Prague Monarchs (9-1), 47.707
Prague keeps racking up wins, this time as underdogs against an overconfident Detroit Cheetahs team. Fans everywhere were surprised with the outcome, but ultimately the better team won. But with the release of their starting DT and a trade pending for their starting RB, can Prague still find a way to be victorious? Last game: Win vs. Detroit Cheetahs, 19-13... Next game: Away at Dnipropetrovsk Express (7-3)... Last week: #5 (same)
6. Windy City Bears (8-2), 27.895
Quite a gap between ranks 5 and 6, but maybe that's just a testament to how well the top five teams are playing right now. Windy City leads the top tier second half, keeping their spot at number six with a strong win over Nashville. The biggest test of the season for Windy City is up next, as they try to take down undefeated Lafayette. Last game: Win at Nashville Nobles, 31-3... Next game: At home vs. Lafayette Rajun Cajuns (10-0)... Last week: #6 (same)
7. Detroit Cheetahs (7-3), 22.919
Disappointing loss for the Cheetahs, whom many in EEAAA2 believed to be the better team. Not to worry Cheetah fans, Detroit still has a great chance at locking up one of the top four seeds in the conference. But you can't look too far ahead with league number one BHB looking for some new fur coats. Last game: Loss at Prague Monarchs, 19-10... Next game: At home vs. Barger Hill Burglars (10-0)... Last week: #8 (+1)
8. Amsterdam Dirty Dozen (7-3), 18.047
The playoff push continues for Amsterdam with a dominating performance over another playoff contender in Kiev. ADD has a fairly lax schedule for the rest of the season, save Detroit in the conference closer. I expect Amsterdam to be a lock for the three seed, maybe even the second. Last game: Win vs. Kiev Cosmonauts, 34-13... Next game: Away at Bratislava Redskins (4-6)... Last week: #9 (+1)
9. Dnipropetrovsk Express (7-3), 12.324
DXP made an unexpected stop after succumbing to Wisla 10-0 in what most considered to be the biggest upset this week. This cannot feel good for the Express, who will now be facing Prague and BHB in back to back weeks. Playoffs? Practice? Play to win the game? All of this needs to be taken into account for DXP. Last game: Loss at Wisla Krakow, 10-0... Next game: At home vs. Prague Monarchs (9-1)... Last week: #7 (-2)
10. The Geriatric Couch Potatoes (7-3), 12.319
GCP falls .005 points shy of moving up a spot this week, but I'm sure the team would rather take a win over a higher power ranking. An excellent defensive performance by the Potato defense held ATL to just 39 offensive plays. Shades of the defensive unit that was #1 in the Alpha Conference last year and beat Prague and Detroit in the playoffs comes to mind. Last game: Win vs. ATL Riders, 22-7... Next game: Away at Kiev Cosmonauts (6-4)... Last week: #10 (same)
CONTENDING FOR A TOP SPOT
11. Demoniak Piggies (7-3), 9.124
Zeta's only 7-3 team, Demoniak is looking for a top ten team to fall next week so they can have a shot at moving up in the rankings. The Piggies have two easy games next on their schedule before closing out the regular season against four teams that are doing pretty well this year. Last game: Win vs. Rostov-on-Don Ducks, 79-7... Next game: Away at Nizhny Novgorod Vetz (5-5)... Last week: #12 (+1)
12. Samara Salukis (6-4), -2.876
Inconsistencies have plagued this Samara team this season, but now three losses in their last four games leaves some cause for concern. They are now on the bubble and risk missing out on the playoffs. It's not getting any easier with Austin and Budapest up next. Last game: Loss vs. Stalingrad Gryphon Army, 61-0... Next game: Away at Austin Pirates (6-4)... Last week: #13 (+1)
13. Austin Pirates (6-4), -4.896
Last week's co-Game of the Week saw Austin dominate Budapest 33-13. The Pirates have been up and down this season, but it looks like they've found their stride. Let's see how they do in the following weeks. Last game: Win at Budapest Tigers, 33-13... Next game: At home vs. Samara Salukis (6-4).. Last week: #15 (+2)
14. Kiev Cosmonauts (6-4), -7.724
Amsterdam lit them up the Cosmonauts this past week, causing Kiev to drop three spots in the power rankings and placing Kiev in the bubble spot in the Alpha Conference. Next week's game against GCP could determine who makes the playoffs several weeks in advance. Last game: Loss at Amsterdam Dirty Dozen, 34-13... Next game: At home vs. The Geriatric Couch Potatoes (7-3)... Last week: #11 (-3)
NEEDS IMPROVEMENT
15. Budapest Tigers (5-5), -16.37

18. Wisla Krakow (5-5), -25.456
19. San Jose Baggers (5-5), -27.257
20. Combat Warriors (5-5), -28.234
DIVINE INTERVENTION
21. Bratislava Redskins (4-6), -47.721
22. Minsk Berzerkers (3-7), -50.261
23. Nebaska Huskers (4-6), -50.411
24. Albuquerque Regulators (2-8), -59.862
25. Elancourt Templiers (3-7), -63.562
26. Palermo Pounders (1-9), -83.421
27. Ufa Panthers (2-8), -84.752
28. Athenian Pitbulls (1-9), -92.921
FACING RELEGATION
