Warrior General Games

at this point in the season i switch from power rankings, which is my subjective analysis of how i think each team has done in the league up to that point. i now do playoff seeding projections, ranked based on how i think the teams will finish, not how they are in my mind right now.


i will do all 16 teams in each conference for this set of rankings, but after this week, once i feel a team doesnt have a chance at making the playoffs, they will not be ranked.

Thoughts: Monte Carlo is in a very tough spot right now. There are only two ways I can see them sneaking in to the dance. One is to have Bordeaux beat Venice on the last game of the season, leaving them tied with no one who has beaten them for the 8th spot. The other would be to have Stockholm beat Bolderslev and have everything else fall into plan, which would leave them at a 3 way tie that MCRG or Stockholm will win based on points scored. If Madrid were to beat one of the four teams I have it pegged to lose to, it would lock up the eight spot, but if it doesn't, then the Ayrshire loss will keep them out. Tulsa has a very tough stretch ahead, but they, along with Oslo, control their own destinies, and the winner of their week 16 game would win Alpha if they take care of business up until then.

all isnt lost, you just need to rely on other teams as you dont control your own destiny right now. if bordeaux beats venice then youre in, and if stockholm beats bolderslev then youll be in a 3 way tie in which points scored might go to you.

I live in chattanooga as well and I would love to see Chattanooga pull a major upset...the one thing about basketball is that everyone can shoot a jump shot and the fact is that there will be days when someone has a day where they cant miss a shot and there are days when a team couldnt hit a shot to save their lives...so if by chance that day happens to be when uconn plays the mocs it could happen! will it happen,I highly doubt it...

All I gotta say is the same thing I always say... Any Given Sunday. There are several games left to play, and Zeta has seen it's fair share of upsets so far... I'm betting more will happen. Smart money is on MCRG getting into the playoffs. Don't know if they can pull another Bunnies out of their hat, but you never know with those guys..
