1) Gold Coast Vipers – Destroyed the Bolts, so badly in fact that they have proven to me that they are just that good. I’m putting them where I think they may end up. #1 Next week against Auckland and I don’t think they will be able to un-seed them.
2) Hawaii Phoenixes – While Gold Coast destroyed a playoff team, Hawaii was busying beating a CPU team, the soft first half of the schedule is just about over for Hawaii with matches against Gold Coast, Auckland and Sack to come.
3) Sack Sabbath – Beat Sydney , wasn’t a game really worth commenting about. Death Riders up next, and after that game Sack will move to 5-0 against playoff teams.
4) – Auckland Titans – Took down the Riders who were climbing in the rankings as of lately. There seems to be a definite divide between the top 4 teams and the bottom 4 of the rankings, but I wouldn’t sleep on any of them. 4-1 against playoff teams thus far.
5) Texas Drillers – Another easy game and another easy win. Its like rolling the dice trying to place the 5-8 teams in the league, so since Texas has won 2 in a row, why not put them back up.
6) Orlando Lightning Bolts – Got killed by Gold Coast, and things don’t get easier with Hawaii coming up next. Orlando is a team that has the weapons to pull some upsets and plays beyond its levels. You gotta like teams that over achieve.
7) Hamilton Hellcats – Hamilton is on a winning streak so I bumped them up, I would have them way up near 4th seed if they didn’t have that loss to Sydney mixed in. I have a feeling Hamilton will beat someone in the top 5 all while already having lost to a non-playoff team. Hmm that’s a team you don’t want in the playoffs.
8) Death Riders –Destroyed by the Titans this week. I can’t figure these guys out, but I know you don’t want to sleep on them.
9) Geelong – Geelong wins for the first time in awhile and they drop in the rankings, that is just downright mean, but I guess that’s the way the rankings are gonna be this week. Just keep winning an you can fix that.
