Warrior General Games

Only 1 upset this week although it was a big one, with the Dogs going down as 44pt favorites.

Seeing as we are in the 2nd half of the season I made a small tweak to the formula so that it lowers the value of early games a little. This will hopefully be a slightly better indicator of how teams are now after accounting for any mid-season trades or increasing chemistry or just better game-planning based on more data to work with.

I`m a big fan of making more recent games worth more, and I think it`s a great addition to your rankings.

I didn't want to make it too big a change but basically I weight the most recent 4 games at 100% and scale back by about 6.6% for each week prior to that, with a lower bound of 50%. Currently Week1 is worth 67% of week 9.

It doesn't make a huge difference, but it did drop the Dogs behind the Sultans and is probably helping RMOG a little as well

Not that i care but AAD is 4-0 the past 4 games and only moved up 1. No biggie though. Thanks for doing these.

Im still suprised to see ESM on top with your tweaks. Im curious to see what happens if you completely pull out our first game which was against a gutted cpu team... if its not to much of a hastle id be interested to see the number.

I am sure it would be almost even then with RSW. We both still have a few of the easy teams left, the difference being you already played Gabon Forest Dragons, while RSW plays them in 2 more games.

But I would be interested as well to see that number

Not that i care but AAD is 4-0 the past 4 games and only moved up 1. No biggie though. Thanks for doing these.

Aside from the big win against SoA you haven't beaten anyone ahead of you. AAD will get a chance to prove itself in that nasty 4 game stretch to end the regular season. The top of elephant is starting to look a lot like last season, no one is really showing themselves to be a clear favorite. The Sultans probably have the best chance to get to 15-1 since they only have 1 really tough game ahead of them (SoA) but we squeeked through the rough start to our schedule and could have easily lost any of the games vs the top teams and the Jinx and Sno-Caps certainly aren't easy wins (just ask the Dogs and Gabon) and the Frogs beat both of those teams so you never know.

The Donkeys are in a similar spot to AAD in a way where their schedule is brutal in the last 5 weeks so they will certainly get a chance to stake their claim as the #1 team in Elephant..
