#3 Yellowknife Eskimo Hunters---(7-1)-----(3)-------#16 Ottawa Jaguars------The last 3 games have looked ugly for this team and they are lucky to only have dropped one of them. It is time for a good breather with a Bye week on the plate.
#4 Royal Canadian Kilted Yaksmen----(7-1)--------(4)------#1 Montreal Rulers-----6 wins in a row now for this team the closest was by 28. They have won 27 of their last 28 with the closest of those wins being by 28. Was the Hunters game just a fluke? This is their chance to prove that.
#5 Port Royal Acadians------------(7-1)----(5)----#9 USAORG Eagles--------They are hitting the business end of their schedule. 6 of the 8 teams in the second half the season have playoff hopes and 3 of those are currently 7-1. This is were we find out what this team is made of.

#6 Montreal Mutants---------(5-3)------(6)---------------#13 Manitoba Direwolves------They picked up an easy win and momentum. That should keep going here against the Direwolves
#7 Hogwarts Wizards-----------(5-3)-----(7)-------#8 Cardinal Redbirds-----Good win against the Gamecocks, but now they have a very interesting game against the Redbirds.

#8 Cardinal Redbirds--------(4-4)--(8)-------#7 Hogwarts Wizards-------8th place is not locked up they have the tie breaker over the Eagles but the Eagles have more winnable games left. An upset here would help ensure a playoff spot.
#9 USAORG Eagles--------------(4-4)------(9)------#5 Port Royal Acadians------------Big win for these guys to stay in the playoff hunt. They will probably lose this one, but they are hoping the Birds do also.
#10 Medicine Hat Mavericks------(3-5)-----(10)------#2 Chilliwack Fighting Flapping Heads------The playoff light got pretty dim with that loss. They still have a chance but they must beat the Ridbirds and get some help with the Eagles losing to someone they are not supposed to.

#13 Manitoba Direwolves------------(2-6)-----(13)---#6 Montreal Mutants-------------Man I don't know why this team looks this bad.

Games of the week:

#1 Montreal Rulers (8-0) vs #4 Royal Canadian Kilted Yaksmen (7-1) - This is where the horror section of this edition comes in. If the Rulers win the number 1 seed would look locked up and a 16-0 season looks to be in the works. A win by RCKY would drop 5 teams to 8-1 as the other 3 7-1 teams all look like they should win. It would be good because my team would still have a shot at number 1, but it would be a headache at that point in ranking 1-5. It was a game like this last season that screwed up the rankings and caused a fight with somebody.........

#7 Hogwarts Wizards (5-3) vs #8 Cardinal Redbirds (4-4) - a very good number 2 game this week. The Wizards have something to prove and beating up on the Redbirds would be a good way of doing it. The Redbirds are trying to get into the playoffs and a mild upset over the Wizards would set them up for that.

Yup.

Way I figure it, RCKY is the last team that really has a shot at beating the Rulers. If we don't, 16-0 and #1 seed is likely theirs. If we do, things will get really interesting around here...

Never thought I'd say this , but........let's go RCKY.

I am staying totally neutral in this one. A win by RCKY puts it into a 5 way tie for first. A win by the Rulers gives us a game and a half lead over RCKY for the 4th playoff spot......either way with us playing the jags it is a win/win situation for the Hunters.

If we pull it off, that five way tie will be pretty interesting. RCKY and the Hunters would still have to face the Flapping Heads (which would then be huge games) and the Acadians would still have games against three of the big four. The Rulers would probably win out and still have a shot at first only if the Yaks drop a game.

If we lose, then Rulers have the conference pretty much locked up. Yaks can only get #2 if they beat the Heads and the Hunters lose to them, otherwise it's #3 at best. Hunters would control their destiny for #2. The Heads would have a shot since they play both of these teams.

It could get interesting.

I guess we have to do a search and take away anything that can be a weapon including shanks made out of Plastic Spoons.
