A note about ties:

I try my doggest to get them out, but the thing about the three tied groups are that they are all groups from different conferences, so there's no real fair way to put in a tiebreaker other than what is already in place. I can't even catch a break from the Acton/Chaos tie, since they both played their respective conferences' gutted teams this week!

we beat .Gibralter Evil Monkeys by two scores heads up when we had 61 team chemistry , we still have the same record as them and we are rated a B team while they are sitting up there all lofty as a B+ team , They haven't even had to face the hard part of their schedule yet...

They have been HAMMERED by the only teams they have faced with a rating OVER B and barely squeaked out a win against the B- they faced.

they are 1-2 against B- level or higher with points for and against at 45-90

We are 2-1 with a points for and against of 133-107

re: Rumrunners and Monkeys

This'll give me another chance to explain another facet of the formula. I mentioned before that recent performance weighs heavier than prior performance in the grading formula. At the same time, scores that factor into the grade result are based on the strength of your opponent at the time you played them, not their strength now. Teams, just like real life teams, go into streaks and slumps, and most "professional" power rankings reflect this as well.

That doesn't mean that overall historical data doesn't have a role as well. The K-Score is derived from historical data, (note Monkeys and Rumrunners have the same K-Score) however, I do not feel that it is as important as "who's hot now", which is why current/recent strength is factored into the primary ranking system, the grade, and K-Score is used as a tiebreaker within the grades.

..and yes, controversy is good. The whole point of posting these is to generate discussion one way or another.

I am sure that HAS to be the diffrence...

If we had not played head to head and came away with greater then a 2 TD victory , it would even be a plausible excuse for the ranking mismatch.


We both have some REALLY tough games coming in the next few weeks , so really what does it matter , we both have ALOT to prove since we already have fallen back by 2 games.

So really whats in the past really does not matter, If we both dont bring our A games the rest of the season, We will end up stuck in AA for extra year.
