Woo! After a 4 day vacation for me that has consisted of 3, 6 hour standardized tests, moving, put down my dog, writing a game article, interviewing high school football players and dealing with a influenzed (haha, get it?) girl friend, I thought it was time for more predictions.

So without further delay, here they are!

Pittsburgh Steelerz vs. Topeka Twisters: The Pittsburgh road to perfection is just about halfway done. They've battled against two of Alphas top teams, and still remain on top of Oceania AA. Topeka on the other hand, just really isn't that good. At 2-5, they'll really need some luck to beat the Steelerz, but hey, who knows? Perhaps Dorothy will click her slippers all the way down the yellow brick road, and Topeka will score some points (dare I say win?....no)
Pittsburgh, 63-6

Redcliff Razmanaz vs. Williamsburg Colonials: Though I'm sure that more goes on behind the scenes for Redcliff then I imagine, but so far their owner George96 has been outstanding. I had never even seen the guy post in the forums, and all of a sudden this usually decent Redcliff team is a legit contender in Alpha. Williamsburg on the other hand has lots of kinks to work out, and really isn't even a decent team at this point.
Redcliff, 51-10

Melbourne Marvels vs. Alderaan Explosion: Alderaan seems to be one of the more underrated teams in the Alpha conference, and they're hoping to at least make the playoffs when it's that time. The Explosion don't really have a signature win yet, and hope to get that win today. Melbourne is just one point away from being undefeated, and even in that game they held their opponent to just 20 points. Melbourne appears much stronger on paper, but will Alderaan game plan their way to a victory?
Melbourne, 38-21

Wellington Wizards vs. Mighty KC Chiefs: The Chiefs seem to be a very mysterious team this year. Some weeks they come out and surprise us (in score) and other weeks they really just get blown out. Their one win against Memphis isn't really considered that big of a win. Wellington is one of Alphas strongest. Now that I look at it, Alpha is a very deep conference. Wellington is loads better than KC, but KC has the potential to keep it closer then you may imagine.
Wellington, 44-13

Phoenix Eagles vs. Soloman Islands Pack: Phoenix definitely has one of the strongest defenses in Alpha, and in 5 of their 7 games they allowed less than 13 points. Soloman Islands is 5-2, but could just as easily be 7-0. I really believe the gameplanning of Soloman Islands makes them one Alpha's best teams, and having to play this team twice is very scary...it won't take the Pack twice to beat the Eagles once, though!
Solomans Island, 28-23

Cardiac Kids MD vs. Kaka'ako Ka Cardiac Kids is really the biggest sleeper in Alpha this season. Everyone knows about Solomans Island and Pittsburgh, but not many are talking about Cardiac Kids (*sigh*). Cardiac really needs that big win to put them on the Alpha radar. Kaka'ako is also a 4-3 team, so this could be a fight for playoff positioning...though I don't see Kaka'ako making the playoffs this season.
Cardiac Kids, 31-17

Rekohu Raptors vs. Memphis Kings: Could Memphis actually be Alphas worst team? Probably not, but if they continue to play the way they are, they'll get demoted back down to Oceania A level ball. Rekohu, is building their team backup, but may not be on the playoff level yet. They really needed to win the last two games, but couldn't get the offense going in either. This game is hard to pick, but...
Rekohu, 21-16

South Sydney Rabid Rabbitohs vs. Tonga Little Engine That Could: Not much to write about on this game, but here's something I found interesting...Tonga has a higher overall rating than my Fiji team! Anyways, SSRR looks a bit stronger than Tonga.
South Sydney, 21-13

The Cool Kids Club (ZETA CONFERENCE!)
DECATUR STALEYS vs. Port Moresby Scallywags: Decatur, in my opinion is the stronger team in this match-up, but Port Moresby has showed much improvement in their gameplanning this season then in the past. PM, looks good, but not as good as Decatur.
Decatur, 31-25 How they get 25? Don't ask!

Shout-Out!
Christmas Islanders. They shrugged off two tough losses in our seasons first two weeks, and they've now beaten two of Zetas potential playoff teams.

Tonga's got a higher overall rating that a great deal of teams in GLB. Too bad we're built to lose at all costs. Except for that stupid kicker that is. Little idiot gets into field goal range and starts kicking like we're supposed to win or something. He my be on the trading block shortly...

Great Writeup Blue, and the Poll of the Week has to be one of the toughest that you have posted!

I will vote 2 ways, and I think it would be cool if everyone else would too, since it would let you show love to your own HB, but let the HB's see what the league thinks, w/o favoritism -

My own team pick - Would have to be both, they both do above and beyond what is asked of them, and they are:
HB Rohn Jiggins and HB Emmitt Ducketts

HB that I would vote for that is NOT on my team - Tie between Quillo Serra and Rich Head

by the way -
Thanks for mentioning the big matchup between the Staley's and Scalleywags, much appreciated!

Poll of the Week
Who's the best RB in Oceania AA4?

Give it to Quillo Serra on the Drones. #1 in yards and TDs and is on a team that's lower down in the rankings meaning he hasn't got those overwhelming ROT of FBs to blast a hole for him.

Quillo is good, but Rich Head is averaging over a yard more, and just as many TDs with 100 less carries. Rich also splits time 98/99 with David Oku.

I'll happily take #2 spot to a player 8 levels above me in a over 0.5 team

Yes but isnt rich head level 48 compared to a level 39 HB? I think he's a great back but something to consider

Quillo is also succeeding in a season where Bort nerfed the whole powerback abilities.

what??? Bort INCREASED the special abilities of power backs, or, to be more accurate, fixed "bugs" in some of them, so that power backs are even more successful this season.

Successful to the point where they're breaking 30 tackles a game is being nerfed. Check out some of the pro leagues and see what powerbacks are doings.

197 Carries, 1,580 yards, 225.7 Y/G, 8 YPC, 23 TDs That's in pro league for a power back...that's just ridiculous considering his career average is 160 ypg, and we're only have way through the season.

GG Solomon didn't think we would pull it out you have a very good team. New this would be a close game and if we won it would be only by a few points. 24-20 Eagles GL the rest of the season.

Actually, I don't know that Bort's put in his latest attempted nerfs to Powerback yet. Think they're mentioned in the Announcements. Otherwise, it's been pretty much the same as last year for the most part. Really kinda wish he'd have either thought to do that in the offseason, or waited until this season was over to mess with it, at all, though.
