Gosh darnnit, now that I'm 13-3 on these predictions, I can't help myself. Again, more gut feeling than statistics here.
San Antonio Heat @ Riverhead Blue Waves Wrong. I can't predict Riverhead's games to save my life
Two games ago I was convinced that Riverhead didn't deserve their undefeated status. Obviously, I was wrong after they took down Houston and forced me to eat some humble pie. Look for the Blue Waves to extinguish the Heat this week.
Chicago Whodats @ CPU Paper Tigers correct
Um, yeah...
Houston Cougars @ Farkistan Squirrels correct
Historically, the Squirrels have beat the Cougars in five out of their last six matchups. Farkistan seems to be in a slump losing to teams Houston's beat this season.
Mudville Bombers @ Austin Alcoholics correct
Mudville thoroughly trounced the Alkies the last time they met, I expect the same this time
Big Whiskey Assassins @ Austin Wineswilling Fancy Boys correct
Whiskey Chugging Killers versus Fancy Boys who prefer Chardoneys and Pinot Noirs? Their names alone tell you who should win. The Fancy Boy's win last week won't turn into a streak this week, unless someone at Big Whiskey is on the take.
Columbus South Caralackeys @ Lynchburg Lightning correct
This is, IMO, the game of the week. For Columbus it's a chance to move into the 8th seed position, while Lynchburg is fighting off a slump that's apparently driven by some internal turmoil. I'm going with the Lightning because as our rivals, they've historically been a tough team. However, I gotta say I was inclined not to call this game at all.
Auckland Raiders @ Inya Onya correct
Gotta give this one to Sprocket and his boys over at Auckland.
Lexington Lynx @ Gotham Crusaders incorrect
High off their defeat of their personal kryptonite Inya Onya, the Lynx should handily defeat the 0-8 Crusaders
EDIT: Well, 6 out of 8 this week. Darn you Riverhead!
as always, the opinions above are solely mine, and not necessarily indicative of my team management
