Pro World Tournament Bracket Contest

(the main post has been moved a couple of times ... don't want it to get lost, so here it is again ...)

The organizers of the GLB Pro World Tournament would like to announce the 1st ever Pro World Cup Pool Challenge open to all GLB agents to enter with cash prizes!!!!!

How to enter?

All GLB agents must go to the Bracket Maker web site http://www.bracketmaker.com/ and register. All you need is an email address to do so. You must register using your GLB account name. If you are currently registered with that web site under a different name, you must PM me with your registered name on the site. This is in place so to prevent multiple ballots from being filled out.

Once registered, check out the Tournament bracket here http://www.bracketmaker.com/tmenu.cfm?tid=308711

When does it start?

Agents can start making predictions now, but with the tournament still in pool play, the bracket is not fully set. Most of the match ups should be ready to go soon and the last scheduled pool round game is Day 15 (3/11) at 15:00. All Predictions must be finalized 1 hour before the start of the first game which is currently scheduled for Day 16 (3/12) at 21:00. That time could become earlier in the day as more games are scheduled. That means that you guys only have a short window ~24 hours to get your predictions finalized.

How to Play

Agents will go to the "Predict It" link on the Tournament Bracket page. There, they must predict the entire tournament before it starts. It's just like an NCAA tournament pool that we've all played at work. Points are awarded 1 point for each 1st round game, 2 points for 2nd round, 4 points for 3rd round, and so on. Agents must also fill out a final score prediction for the Championship game. This will be used as the tie-breaker should we have a tie. You will have to fill out the 1st round, click enter, and then you can fill out the 2nd round, click enter, 3rd round, etc.

Tie-breaker breakdown:
1.) Predicted the correct winner of the tournament
2.) Total number of games correctly predicted
3.) Closest to Championship game point differential
4.) Closest to Championship game total points
5.) If still necessary, prize will be split amongst tied participants

How do I learn about the teams?

All the teams are Pro League teams and their League identification is listed on the Bracket web site (OPL=Oceania, SAPL=South America, etc.). You can find the teams through the League's link http://goallineblitz.com/game/leagues.pl Also, we have a couple threads devoted to the tournament.
* Up to date Tournament results and Standings http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=2193882&page=1
* Team stats leaderboard http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=2208256
* and bhall's recaps http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=2193823

What does it cost to play?

Nothing. Have fun and enjoy the Madness on us.

What do we win?

The agent with the most total points at the end of the Tournament (and tiebreaker if necessary) will receive a 2000 flex prize ($16) via paypal. The 2nd and 3rd place brackets will receive 1000 flex prizes ($8.50) via paypal courtesy of the PWT organizers.

The bracket is now complete. Games begin tomorrow, be sure to get in and fill one out.

The 2000 Flex top prize is coming from me, it would be good to see an OPL-er win it.
