woohoo! up to #2.. Facing Algeria next week to see who will pretty much be the #1 or #2 seed.

And then hopefully Phoenix beats the Silver Knights like they did Algeria.

Great read. There's some tough teams in the lead pack of Zeta.

Well, I for one am hopeing to make the playoffs, if we can get our mojo back by then, I think that Bangkok has as good a shot as any at the title.

i did a quick average of lvl's the other day when i started wondering of they reall do matter as much as i thought.

unscientific as it was, being that i didnt do any backups and a few rosters changed alot through season..but the top teams are the top teams, for the most part

-PSK-decisive advantage over the rest of us at ~half a lvl average across the board

-the 2nd pack, pretty closely knit, Ponkos, Algeria, Hustlers, and Bali. SF pretty close to that group only .2 behind.

-1.8 lvl difference between the 2nd and 12th(salford) team in alpha. same difference, 1.8, between the 1 top guys in zeta(hustlers and bali) and the highlanders.

-biggest over achievers so far are the Highlanders, biggest let down is sumatra(though they did get most of hard games out of the way)

the best way ive seen to do this that ive seen would be using this formula but i feel it sucks the fun out of power rankings

Pass Offense: (QB + (WR1 + WR2)/2 + TE/5 + (OL AVG)/2)/2.7
Rush Offense: (HB + FB/5 + (OL AVG))/2.2
Pass Defense: (CB1 + CB2 + (S AVG) + (DE AVG)*.75 + (LB AVG)/2)/4.25
Rush Defense: ((DT AVG) + (DE AVG)/2 + (LB AVG))/2.5

While I like the way you guys are thinking, the one loop hole in all that is the game planning. You have to factor back-ups in because depth plays a huge role into the math. I understand you are using these theories just to get a rough idea though.

No kidding according to the CPU rankings, we are 5th after knocking off Bali (the top team) which was 1 spot lower than the previous rankings, LOL. I think points has something to do with it as was explained to me, LOL.

Thanks Larry Legend, I was wondering where we were all sitting as far as levels go.

Nice power rankings. I still like our chances come playoff time. We hold wins over #2 #3 and #5 in our conference. I know it'll take a monster gameplan to beat any of them again, but its still a good look nonetheless.

i agree 100%, i just didnt feel like taking 2 hours to do it. id like to do starters, and best backup at each position except maybe QB since alot of teams dont use a 2nd, but i seriously doubt ill get around to it. it was just a rough estimate i didnt even use the kickers and punters

I agree that depth/back-ups matter a lot, but I also think that would put PSK out in front even further. There's a "very small" drop between our starters and our back-ups.
