Games to Watch
Vanuatu Reef Raiders @ Williamsport Soul Reavers
VRR knows just how good WSR is if anyone does. The team they beat to get to the championship last season is the same team they'll face on the road this week. This for the sake of their season could be a tide turner. If they can use the lost momentum WSR has undertaken to their advantage they could set the tone for Alpha and the others below that do more of the type. While VRR has been at the top and bottom of Alpha's Treacherous road of competition, they know they can win this road game and they are certainly planning on doing just that. WSR needs to rebound from the close loss against Guam, they cannot allow the lost momentum to dwindle them into a downward spiral. This is just another test for the Soul Reavers who 'failed' their first test in Alpha and are going to be looking to pass this one. This game gets my "Balanced game of the week" vote.
Mauna Kea Chenabogs @ Endzone Warriors
MKC is coming off a solid win over the rockies to keep their season alive, they are now fighting to get and stay above the 'middle of the pack' in Zeta. They face a fierce opponent this week but in past seasons and this one so far have shown a bit of their competitive nature and will do so no matter the outcome this week as well. But like any solid team they're not going to EW's domain to lose. EW is coming off a crushing defeat against Florida and is no doubt looking to get a bit of momentum, pride, and dignity back in this game. There's no doubt in anyone's mind, despite last weeks big loss that EW is a very respected and highly competitive team but they also want to keep their season alive, they are going to try to do just that this week and regain their spot in the top 3 of the Zeta Conference.
Coney Island Warriors @ Newcastle Ghosts
CIW may have had the toughest schedule in Zeta up to this point, they're road has not been easy and with Newcastle is not getting any easier but I also don't believe we've seen their best performance yet. They've played up and played great in the past and this week I fully expect them to turn some heads. Newcastle is coming off a tough defeat but has proven their ability to throw down with the best of them, this one has two teams that are probably working their way to the 'underrated and overlooked' label. This game gets my "Underrated game of the week" vote.
Rapid City Rebels @ Atlantis Armageddon
RCR is coming off a great with over OJR and they are moving forward strong, they are working their way up the ranks and do not look like they're going to turn back any time soon. As I've said about them many times before, they've proven they belong and this week they have another solid test against AA, they are going to have to keep up what they've done great and improve upon it. AA is coming off a Total Destruction over SSP, where they took the word competiton and virtually flushed it down the toilet. They've been up and down this season but they're still going strong. With a win over RCR this week they could easily solidify themselves as a team to be feared within the Zeta Conference.
*Game of the Week
Melbourne Gators @ Port Royal Predators
If you tuned into the Zeta Conference Championship last season in OA4, you know just how tough these two teams play each other. The Gators proved this season so far that they are a team to be reckoned with and no doubt would love to get a little 'revenge' for being cut short on a potential trophy toting season. The Predators have had an'up and down' season so far but that does not make them any less fierce. This game is going to be like two Brahma Bulls butting heads. If you miss it, it's YOUR Loss!
