You guys probably could have written these yourselves now that the power poll is out, but here they are.
GAME OF THE WEEK:
Miami Makos v Houghton Gremlins
For the second "week" in a row, Houghton is in a game of the week and it's easy to see why as they face another of the undefeated crowd. Both of these teams are fantastic and both will easily be in the playoffs. This game could decide which gets a home game, although both could. This matchup is really close to even and both have been tested in a close game. Houghton's test was a bit stiffer. Houghton 17, Miami 14.
OTHER GAMES:
Montana Grizzlies v Vice City Mambas
The difficult opening schedule keeps going for VC. The good news is they are getting most of the tough ones out of the way. The bad news is that their morale could really suffer. Montana meanwhile is plowing their way through the schedule like George Washington Carver. VC's offense looks great, but Montana's D has been ridiculous. Montana 42, Vice City 17.
Red River Chiefs v Bowdoin Polar Bears
Bowdoin is only one game behind RR in the standings and could even things up with a win. That is a bit deceiving as RR is a substantially better team. You just don't see them lose two in a row. Red River 45, Bowdoin 20.
Maine Hawks v New Orleans Poison
Old BBB16 rivals meet. Maine's win streak ends as NO has a fresh two game win streak going. Maine beat NO twice last season and seem to have an advantage this time as well. The battle in the trenches should decide this one. Maine 35, New Orleans 28.
Miami Hammerheads v Dakota Bison
After a nice win Miami gets a bye week. Hammerheads 255, Bison 0.
Atlanta Wolves v Buffalo Beasts
Atlanta is on a roll and Buffalo has been fighting and staying active, but they just don't quite have the talent they need against the Wolves. Look for balance from Atlanta's offense in this game as they should be able to move the ball with relative ease. Atlanta 42, Buffalo 17.
Da NOLA Brah!!! K&B Purples v Manhattan Massacre
Both of these teams have one win to their credit and one of them is about to get #2. Each squad has a pretty good offensive line, but I like Manhattan's ability to stop the run a bit better. Manhattan 30, Da NOLA 21.
Pittsburgh Powerhouse v Destin Pigskin Pimps
Time for Pittsburgh to get well. They look better than the have played thus far and maybe this is what they need to pull it together. Pittsburgh 200, Destin 0.
