I do like what mattynokes has done by eliminating the blowouts from the formula. However, I am using an Excel spreadsheet that's calculating my formulas for me, so it's going to take me a while to rearrange the formulas to incorporate that into the sheet. Until then, the blowouts will still count.

On the other hand, there are several teams in the conference that are consistently getting blown out. It may not be much of a difference rankings wise to eliminate those games. What do you guys think?

I'm in the East, so my opinion may not count. But I think by week 8 it won't matter as everyone will have started to play each other. That is when I start my write up's for each week's games. At that point I no longer do right up's for anyone that doesn't have a legitimate chance at the playoffs.

Your formula looks fine Glenn. As each week goes by, it all seems to even out a little more.

Its amazing how far ahead of the pack Ditka's Army is. Their win against the Hammerheads was a big one, and will most likely keep them in first in the rankings for the entire season. But the fight for 2nd is on.

I'm curious to see how the East would end up with your formula.
