Rumor has it, Bort is adding a 4th energy setting to further increase options for play style.
Previously, relaxed was the lowest setting you could play on, but that all changes. The new settings, in order, consist of: Hard, Normal, Relaxed, and T.C. Williams Titans.

Wow, I am at a loss for words. I never knew my actions would have such an adverse reaction. This really makes one stop and think. I guess I'm left with little option, but to call my contractor and tell him to cancel my custom built trophy case since I won't be getting an induction into an internet hall of fame forum made up by a random Scottish chemist. Oh well, I guess I'll have to find a new calling to aspire to since my two decade long struggle to join Emps Hall of Flame has resulted in failure.

BTW, you might be a Scottish Redneck if rather than a haircut, your girlfriend gets sheared.

I know i am new to this forum but i would take what mob has to say a little more importantly if he had a team of his own or was even a gm of the team in this league. So when ever i see a post of his i have been reading it and wondering how someone is so close minded to the way others run there teams or there players. That is one of the fun things about GLB is that i dont believe there is a right way or a wrong way to play.

Good points to be honest. Despite all my assholishness on this forum the one thing I have never done is question how someone runs their team. Well except Flounder back in season four but he doesnt count.

Anyway calling people out for ratting to the mods or bitching about "bad" language/fail posting is one thing but someone elses team that they pay for is their own business.

Whether or not I own a team in this league or GM here is irrelevant, I have a player in this league and thus am as vested as any other person in the competition of the league. I think you are good at looking at the small picture Steve Orlando, you see things great from the myopic point of a team owner, but fail to grasp the larger picture. Sports is about competition, currently the slow building team in our league can not offer that. I guess you think it is close minded that Olympians don't compete against Special Olympians, we shouldn't tell athletes who they can and can't compete against right?

I am quite curious as to why my being a GM or owner or not makes any difference to you?

To be honest, and I don't have to suffer the history of this league, I took the comment in good spirit and it actually made me smile I don't think it was malicious and if somebody takes the time to add a little humour, I don't see the harm in that.

Also, I do agree with Mob on the GM/Owner/Player situation - anybody who has got a player or team in this league should be able to have their say with the fear of being slapped down. It adds to everybody's fun!

I didn't say that he cant speak his mind. I said that when you own a team and you have to deal with finances and seating and paying for upgrades it changes the way you look at others who have a team. So if someone wants to bag on someone for how they run there team then they should at least know what comes with owning a team. I personally stated that i read his post and promptly disregard what he says. In other words walk a mile in someones shoes before you make a comment about them. If you want to slow build then that is your choice. If you get a stadium that is full and are trying to make a team from the ground up that too is your choice. If Mod wants to talk about peoples players thats fine also, but don't talk about how terrible someone else is running a team when you yourself dont have one. Get a team and go through free agency and try to field a team. It is way easier to get low levels and start from the bottom than to get a team and jump in at level 40. My biggest problem with Mob seems to be that all he has stated is that others in this league owe him something. We all pay for what we have here (some of us more than others, lol), and it is each and every persons right to build there players or teams how they want to build them. Have fun with the game and get over all the crap about how everyone who is trying to do something different is wrong.

I'm fully aware how hard it is to recruit for and manage a team, I don't have the time to do it successfully which is why I don't own a team. I'd rather not destroy some one elses experience, that of the would be players on my team or those in the league who deserve competitive games, by fielding a joke of a team. Who are all these people you are claiming I have said owe me something? Other than the owner of TC Williams who you fail to see is exploiting the system at the expense of others. He is legally slow building, but at the cost of the enjoyment of others in your league? I have a player in an A league who plays against 7 slow build teams like TC Williams. This means almost half of a seasons games are worthless. Guaranteed 8-8 means a play-off spot. Maybe you like the "everyone wins" spirit of the special olympics, but I like to earn my victories, not be handed them. Can you successfully compare players within a league when an RB goes off for 20 TDs and 1,000 yards in a game against a creampuff like TC Williams? Kind of skews the stats right? Do you like it when people talk on their cell phones next to you in a crowded movie theater? I'm sure you would say "They paid, let them enjoy it how they want," without taking into account how it gives a negative experience to the the majority of those who did pay.
