Well this forum is pretty quite, so I thought I'd get something going. I did some preseason predictions and I'll update those into power rankings a few more games in when we have some more reliable data. I apologize in advance for any mistakes. ![](/images/game/forum/smileys/tongue.gif)
GAME OF THE WEEK:
Vice City v Atlanta Wolves
I chose this as game of the week simply because of the rivalry aspect. Vice City has looked quite good so far despite a loss to the Makos. Atlanta tore it up in preseason but they have the most difficult schedule to start the season in the East. This is a multi-time rematch with Atlanta usually winning. This season Vice looks more impressive to me. Vice City 24, Atlanta 21.
REGULAR SCHEDULE:
Maine Hawks v Buffalo Beasts
Maine has come off two easy wins to start the season after scoring obscene amounts in the preseason. Buffalo is also an impressive 2-0 after crushing Akron and edging Manhattan. Buffalo has some nice levels but Maine seems to be a more complete team. Maine 41, Buffalo 28
Montana Grizzlies v New Orleans Poison
Montana has crushed two non-competitive teams. New Orleans won their first and dropped a game to a very good Hammerheads team. I wouldn't count out the Poison in this one, but I think the Grizzlies have an edge. Montana 27, New Orleans 17
Houghton Gremlins v Manhattan Massacre
Houghton has performed as expected in going 2-0. Manhattan is 1-1 but their loss was impressive. I really like Manhattan's o-line, but I think Houghton is a little better overall. Houghton 21, Manhattan 17.
Red River Chiefs v Da NOLA
BBB verterans Red River have look as good as usual, especially beating an undefeated team from last season. Da NOLA has fought to a 1-1 start. Da NOLA is much better than their levels indicate, but Red River is way too tough for them in shutting down the run. Red River 37, Da NOLA 21.
Miami Makos v Dakota Bison
Miami is 2-0 after a more difficult than expected fight with Vice. Dakota is in for a long season. Miami 200, Dakota 0.
Miami Hammerheads v Pittsburgh Powerhouse
The Hammerheads are off to maybe the most impressive start of the season with a quality win over New Orleans. Pittsburg is 1-1 after a disappointing loss to Da NOLA. Pittsburg looks like they will threaten for the playoffs, but the Hammerheads have a substantial talent advantage. Miami 56, Pittsburg 10.
Bowdoin Polar Bears v Destin Pigskin Pimps
The Polar Bears are an expected 1-1 and look like they might sneak into the bottom of the playoff picture if things break just right. Destin, um, not an A team. Bowdoin 115, Destin 0.
