Siracusa Vs Port Moresby
Been a season since these two have played. Siracusa always plays us tough and after the close call with Bendigo will be looking for a much needed win. Oddly, Siracusa has never beaten PM in 3 tries. I think they will keep it close as usual, but, I suspect my guys will get it done by controlling the clock.
The " We need to right this ship" game
Puerto Rico vs Telstar
Puerto Rico needs to fix some things after being thumped by the Knights and Telstar is coming off 2 very bad losses, albeit to solid teams. Puerto Rico tends to get better as the season progresses and beat Telstar in their only previous meeting. Ill take Puerto Rico to right the ship.
The "Yes we do belong here" game
Guam vs Bendigo
Bendigo moved up to AA and thus far looks pretty good. Guam has had a very rough time thus far and after keeping it close with Sack Sabbath got drilled by the Shrooms. Bendigo does belong and will win this easily.
The " now we are angry and will dominate " game
Australia vs Trilla
The Aussies get Trilla at the wrong time. Coming off a tough loss to Danish they will be set for a win. They know you have to win the games you should, and they will.
Blowout of the week
Danish vs Suva
Poor Suva. AFter the blowout with Port Moresby and the first game blowout with Gold Coast, they face a league power in Danish. Suva just trying to get to a game where they can be competitive and Danish riding a high after the win over Trilla. This game gets ugly early.
The " This team is better than we thought" game
Cobden vs Taylor
Taylor is a league favorite and Cobden is flying under the radar. Cobden has a 22 game winning streak in tact. They keep this game VERY close and almost eek out the win, but, the streak ends at 22 and Taylor breathes a sigh of relief after passing a very tough test.
Game of the Week
Knights vs Michelin Men
The Knights have toiled for a few seasons in AA and have gotten better each one. Unfortunately, they struggle against the better teams. The Michelin men survived the McNuggets last week and will have to survive another game. I really want to call the upset here because I think the Knights can do this, but, I think this game will be a test of wills with the Men eeking out a victory in the end.
The "Remember us, Upset of the week" Game
McNuggets VS Shrooms
Yes the Shrooms should win based on the numbers. Yes teh Shrooms are a good team. But, the McNuggets have been in AA a season longer and know how this all works. Interestingly, the Shrooms have never beaten the McNuggets. 0-3 against them. They want payback and are now the favorite, but, the old nemesis rears its head and bites them. AFter the close loss to the Michelin Men, the McNuggets step up and knock off the Shrooms.
