Here we go:
1. Taylor Bulldogs- Did what I expected defensively, but, didnt score as many points as I thought they would. Put up 400+ yards but didnt get many points. Run defense was solid. Cobden is the next game with a 22 game win streak on the line.
2. Danish- Pulled it out against a solid Trilla team. Gave up a LOT of yards on the ground, but people will learn that Trilla gameplans very well. Get to relax for the next game. Should be 3-0 after.
3. Port Moresby- I have to move my guys up after the dismantling of Suva and the Michelin Men struggling even more than I thought against the McNuggets. Beware the running game. Almost 400 yards and Keak is for real behind that line. Game with Siracusa who will be angry after the loss. And they are a team who has always played us close.
4. Michelin Men- Should have pulled away better than they did. Giving up almost 500 yards and having to score 10 points in the final 5 minutes wont work against some other teams. Game coming up with the Knights who are looking to make a splash in AA.
5. Bendigo- Very nice win for my pals who came up from A. Should have had more faith in you. Gave up a ton of yards, but eeked out a few more and won after being dominated in the first quarter. Again, as with Michelin, you cant make a habit of getting behind like that. Should be able to ease past the next game.
6. Norfolk Knights- See I told you props would come your way. Solid defense and balanced offense. Very nice game. Be an interesting game between 2 of the top teams next week against the Men.
7.Shroom Brigade- Balanced domination. Very good game and great plan. Never in danger. Beware the game with the McNuggets. Gonna be hard for them to lose two in a row.
8. Cobden- Handled the Aussies easily behind a ton of running yards and a stiff defense. Respect earned and given as they pop into the top 8. Could be a short stay with Taylor in the next game.
9. Trilla- Oh so close but couldt get it done late in the game. No production in the 4th quarter killed their hopes as Danish had a 7 minute drive which wiped out a chunk of the last quarter, thus doing Trilla in. Trilla will take it out on the Aussies in the next game and Suva after that as they prepare for a showdown with Taylor.
10A- Flaming McNuggets- If not for a 4th quarter run by the Michelin Men, they would be sitting at 2-0. This is a well run team and they will make noise but their next 4 games are a murderers row. If they go 500 they should be happy with Shroom, Bendigo, Tigersharks, and Danish over the next 4 games.
10B- Siracusa- After a heartbreaker where they came out in dominating fashion and then were dominated in the 3rd quarter and just didnt have enough in the tank to right the ship, they will not find the next two weeks any easier with the Tigersjharks and Danish. But, I know this team gameplans well and they will give it a good shot. Need to go 1-1 in those two games because starting 1-3 in this league will hurt.
12- Puerto Rico- Just flat out dominated by Norfolk, but, have 3 of the bottom teams the next 3 games. Need to win them all before a 7 game stretch with all the top teams.
13-16 Guam, Australian, Suva, & Telstar- All of them overmatched by the top teams in the league Scored a total between all 4 of 19 points and gave up 225. Ouch.
