I'm back, with a completely new formula that I THINK will prove much more accurate than last season's excessively simplifed one.
Wins are now based on a formula involving both yours and your opponent's scouting bars. Losses are simply chained to the opponent's record. What this yields is a reward for beating equal and higher level teams, without excessive punishment for being blown out by higher quality teams.
Both scouting and chemistry also play a core role in the overall ranking. As we saw last year, a couple of teams came up out of nowhere late in the season because their chemistry improved.
But enough about the geek stuff. Let the debates begin.
1) Diaper Vipers (90.15)
2) Kiev Flames (88.71)
3) Chernobil Stalkers (86.62)
4) Sopron Stars (86.59)
5) Athens Olympians (84.84)
6) Warsaw Sabotage (84.54)
7) Rampage ZETA (82.01)
8) Krakow Calvary (79.46)
9) Texas City Storm (79.43)
10) Ofdensen's Army (78.51)
11) Leningrad Iron Fists (78.25)
12) Teutonic Knights (75.25)
13) Chernobyl Aftermath (70.5)
14) Donetsk Hammers (69.3)
15) Ledeberg Zeppelins (69.88)
16) Crete Minotaurs (63.0)
17) John Madden's All Madden Team (61.66)
18) NFL Fanatix (60.0)
19) Kaufbeuren KNights (60.0)
20) Rampage ALPHA (54.75)
21) Victorious Secret (54.0)
22) Szolnok Soldiers (53.5)
23) Saratov Scoregasm (52.5)
24) Winchester Bandits (51.75)
25) Riga Raptors (50.75)
26) Bratislava Zabijaks (50.5)
27) Bisons Sentinels (50.0)
28) Bergen Storm (47.5)
29) Chucktown Panthers (47.0)
30) Grodno Pirates (43.75)
31) Chernobyl Fallout (38.75)
32) Everett Wildcats (25.0)
Yes, it's mostly delineated in who won and lost this weak, with the exception of Madden, who actually comes in lower than the top 1-loss team - and I doubt anyone, including Madden, would argue they deserve to be higher, based on their scouting and chemistry bars.
