Skip Bayless: MrMoose, you are now on the Budweiser Hot Seat.
Skip Bayless: I believe you are a well liked owner in this league. You're nice, kind to everyone and it seems like you sort of expect the same in return.
Skip Bayless: That being said, what teams rub you the wrong way in OPL?
MrMoose: First of all, the Buckeyes. Sure, some of our guys egged them on, but they came up here and continued the act. Then, you have the Convicts -- got a bit of a friendly rivalry there that got heated last season, as many Oceania owners heard about.
Skip Bayless: Very good. Now LaShonTell, this guys a character. We know he's not the best RB on your team. So why did you sign him?
MrMoose: At the end of the day, the fans and the team want one thing -- a trophy. LaShonTell is a big piece of the puzzle, and will bring the players and fans a trophy. Not to mention, he keeps the locker room upbeat and laughing.
Skip Bayless: There still seems to be a bit of a push back on his outspoken personality. Why do you think that is?
MrMoose: There's a lot of pushback whenever somebody has a personality that clashes. Take a look at a guy like Randy Moss in his time with the Vikings, or TO at, well, anytime. At the end of the day, the good players will bring home the big prize, and that's what we're all worried with. Personality issues can be worked through, after all.
Skip Bayless: Do you think he helps or hurts your teams image?
MrMoose: Oh, I'm sure he hurts it a bit. But we're at the point where a small hit image wise is worth a gold trophy. Had we not signed him on, I can guarantee another contender in Oceania would have.
Skip Bayless: Speaking of the Gangsters. You guys went from a force in AA, to a contender in AAA, to middle of the pack in the Pros. How do you feel about your current position in this league? Do you honestly believe you can compete with the best OPL has to offer?
MrMoose: We definitely can compete. Each and every season we've gotten better. Our hurdle has always been the second round of the playoffs. We've worked through some issues this offseason, and are one of the best around this season. We're going to be back to being the force we were in AA #1.
Skip Bayless: Where do you see your team finishing this year?
MrMoose: I'm going to say top 3 in Zeta.
Skip Bayless: Well then, who do you think will finish as the Zeta Champions?
MrMoose: Samoa will. By #3, I was talking regular season, after all. We've got the team to do it. Barring that, I see So Cal repeating.
MrMoose: Going to be one of the two teams, though.
Skip Bayless: Lastly, this horrendous endorsement situation. You appeared to be very outspoken about your disagreement with the way these were dispersed. Where you more upset that the Gangsters did not receive one or that WSI got 11?
MrMoose: I was upset with the fact that any team got 11 of them. I mean, we've got players all across this league that were more deserving of them. So Cal's Denver LastDinosaur, or WSI's own Adam Avalanche, arguably the best player in Oceania at any position. Do I feel Samoa deserved a couple? Sure. But I would have been upset had we received 11 too.
Skip Bayless: MrMoose, you are officially off the Budweiser Hot Seat. Thank you for your time, good luck this season.
MrMoose: And thanks to you.
