Saratov Blaze def. RIGA Nationals
Many of you know, or at least those from the original EEA4 know, that I hate names with all the caps on, or things like Pecs of Steel (no offense.) So this weighs into my prediction. When you set that aside, I think you'll find that the Blaze have some players that really have decent builds for their levels. They have some depth, too. (48-21)

Yugoslavian Roid Pushers def. Chute Boxe All-Stars
The Roid Pushers have much better skilled players, and when it comes down to it, the linemen (a la all-stars) wont win any games by themselves. The Roid Pusher's QB/HB will be a pretty powerful combo. The All-Stars are also at a power deficit. (56-10)

Liverpool Outlaws def. Tallinn Nightmare
This is one of my favorite match ups of the season. I think the Nightmare have a legitimate shot if things fall their way; but it really all comes down to game planning, as after a certain level, level differences only mean so much. I don't know much about the Nightmare GMs, but I know that we have some talent here. It'll be interesting to see. (24-17)

P-Burg Players def. Birmingham Bulldogs
My upset match. I think it all comes down to Player HB "Sandman" who has the ability to run, if they so choose to showcase his talent. I would like to see them use the ground game to throw off the Bulldogs. (36-24)

Portland Niners def. Pecs of Steel (MOTW)
I think it'll come down to the Niner's superior defense stopping the Pecs' very decent offense. I'd give this Match of the Week status, as it's the closest matchup between playoff contenders, and it's the only match I don't have a clear idea about. (?-?)

Texas Roughnecks def. Quahog Clams
Passing and receiving will certainly put them over the edge and onto the winners platform. I haven't seen too much from Quahog, but a victory over a little league team in zeta doesn't cut it. This might be week one, for real. (48-36)

Sioux City def. BanHer Bestfriend
But it shouldn't be counted, since punching a baby to death isn't really a fantastic thing to be doing.

Riga Ravens def. Skopje S.F. Kardinals
I wish the Kardinals would change their name; I can never remember it. If the Ravens pass happy this match, it'll end before it begins. (60 or so - 20 or so.)

"When the All-Stars have a power shortage, we head on over to Jed's BBQ Shack for a Big Rib Dinner. I don't know what Jed does, but each rib is dripping with barbecued goodness. These baby backs really pack a punch and that's just what a fullback needs when he's plowing into the line. Personally, I'd rather be plowing into these ribs," Brack Connelly, Chute Box All-Stars

I really don't think we will lose by that much, guess we will have to wait to see. Maybe on paper we should lose by that much, but I doubt we will. We already beat one team that outleveled us.

It's really hard to make predictions in the beginning of the season. I'm sure from this point forward, both of our teams will have more clout.

Beta can't predict our gameplanning.

You're absolutely right that it's hard to make predictions in the beginning of the season. But if you're going to put your picks out there and want the credit if you get them right, you also have to take the heat when you get them wrong.
