too many bugs in the preseason games to help determine what will happen.

I predict the East will assert themselves as the most dominant Conference. O, looks like we did.

I'm sure everyone gameplanned very hard for these glorifed "scrimmages". Sounds pretty silly doensn't it.

Winning your own conference games are far more important. Come on Head back me up on his one.

Actually considering we have a tougher conference overall its pretty important to beat up on the other side that could be the difference in a lot of peoples playoff seeding.

Not if you don't lose any conference games. Take care of your business in your conference...two team can't go undefeated in conference play.

So somehow figure out a way to win them all, and the one non-conference game won't matter. Easier said than done, I know, but conference game will always be more important.

Edit: Unless, of course, its the championship.

Am I reading this wrong, or did Windsor Armin really beat Queensland 20-15?

Damn. Wasn't expecting that at all.

haha, I'll give you that Conference games are slightly more important only in that you could have a tiebreaker involving one somewhere down the road, but calling them "glorified scrimmages" is pretty retarded, especially coming from a team ranting about winning pre-season games.

to be honest, I was thinking the West was the better conference, but you guys have certainly put that notion on hold for now.

I wasn't sure myself. After pre-season, it certainly looked that way, but seriously you have no idea what people were doing in pre-season. I've run AIs that had the only intention of screwing with anyone scouting us through a pre-season game. I definitely wouldn't say that a 10-6 win in the league games sealed any deal, but I was definitely impressed by how our Conference stepped up. The first game of the season is always so hard to game plan for, especially when a lot of these teams have changed so much. I don't put a lot into what happened today, but it definitely showed how much parity there is in this league. Only one game where a team scored more than 56 points and no CPU teams in the entire league. This should be interesting.

yeah, that was the joke.

The point of the game, as any, is to win. Scrimmage or not, win. As my boy Herm Edwards said, "You play to win the game."

Scrimmage or not, fair enough.

Point of scrimmages = to test. I personally prefer going up against a good team who will put their game plan in scout whatever and beat us, i would rather lose tbh, it shows me what to fix for the regular season. Post season scrimmages if any team i gm for is in i will give you some help, watch the last real game we played and game plan for it, easy win because i dont touch em after that especially if i have other teams still alive.

Now scheduled friendlies that are "challenges" are considered legit but ones like i run on my team are more test games unless i get in a tournament or something.

I know we, Oshawa were messing around with the new AI during pre-season to see what Bort changed or tweaked, but failed to tell us. We caught most of em in those two games I think, I can say for sure that the return games have gone crazy this season....

allout.
