no rankings or major writeups here because nothing tangible has changed that can be seen until games are played since my preseason power rankings. that being said, usually you can expect a power rankings every other game, and at least detailed predictions in most other weeks.

again this is a brand new league for me and i dont know many of the teams well. scrimmages only tell so much about a team so i still havent seen anything real to base these off of too much.

i see it as alpha going 11-5 in week one. could swing a win or so either way though.

The Drunken Potato Farmers at Lyon Winemakers
-Preview: The two BBB league champions from season 7 face off in game one of season 8. I think Lyon is a shade stronger, but these two teams are very evenly matched.
-Prediction: Lyon

Venice Freebirds at Amsterdam Magic Dragons
-Preview: Blowout.
-Prediction: Amsterdam

Newark Nomads at Newcastle Seahorses
-Preview: Newcastle lost to a very good and a good Zeta team in scrimmages. Now they meet a great Zeta team, and I do not think it will be as pretty as the matchup would have you assume.
-Prediction: Newark

Arlington Avalanche at Victoria Assassins
-Preview: Arlington doesn't seem to be all there, so I think Victoria is able to come away with this one easily.
-Prediction: Victoria

Dresden Destroyers at Monte Carlo Red Glare
-Preview: The former Stuttgart Stallions get a new name, and the Red Glare in week one. Monte Carlo can't hang with the strength of one of Alpha's best.
-Prediction: Dresden

Stockholm Dynamites at Bordeaux Carlin
-Preview: Blowout.
-Prediction: Stockholm

Barcelona Assassins at Bolderslev Pirates
-Preview: Bolderslev loses what should be a very entertaining game, and then gets the three best teams in Zeta to follow up. Could this be the beginning of an 0-4 start?
-Prediction: Barcelona

Hell on Turff at Chrulle Mavericks
-Preview: Blowout.
-Prediction: Turff

Oslo Norsemen at Stockholm Assassins
-Preview: Blowout.
-Prediction: Oslo

Madrid Pirates at Achei Crotone
-Preview: Blowout.
-Prediction: Madrid

Arlanda Jets at Amsterdam Red Lights
-Preview: Blowout.
-Prediction: Amsterdam

Berlin Spartans at Tulsa Doom
-Preview: Berlin's patchwork defense will not fly against Tulsa.
-Prediction: Tulsa

The Berlin Wall at Helsinki Hitmen
-Preview: Should be an entertaining offensive shootout with two below average defenses, but Helsinki's offense is much better and gets the win.
-Prediction: Helsinki

Jacksonville Jackalopes at Palmetto Gamecocks
-Preview: Jacksonville's smothering defense will have a field day with Palmettos mediocre offense.
-Prediction: Jacksonville

Krakow Knights at Stockholm Storm
-Preview: Blowout.
-Prediction: Krakow

Atlanta 404 at Louisville Cards
-Preview: Both defenses are inferior, should be a fun game to watch, but Louisville has it in my mind.
-Prediction: Louisville

neither do i, but i do think there will be some blowouts. the level jump from bbb to a in this league is enormous, i cant remember anything like it. look at some of the ee a leagues, their top four teams would be in the bottom four in we a, even though theyre in a similar situation as we a.

Oh for sure. I've taken some looks at the other leagues. It's okay, as long as we can get our 40+ plays all season long we'll be okay

It's the team I own that I'm worried about.... in SEA A#3.... There are no BBB leagues so it's lookin' like 3 years of slowbuilding before even scratching teh surface.

I've looked over the league as well and I think it is tighter than the seasons before. I don't think anyone will be able to put a 100 up against you guys either. While the levels are lower, that can be very misleading. You guys quietly have a very good team!

The jump at every level is pretty big. to come in and get to 8-8 is our only goal with a few ass kickings expected.
