Games to Watch
Port Royal Predators @ Vanuatu Reef Raiders
Port Royal enters OAA2 with the #1 Offense & #2 Defense in OA4 last season, VRR enters with the #2 & #3 Offense and Defense in OA4. Both teams have proven their capability to win in the clutch and one team has yet to allow someone to prove that they can be beaten. While at one point this game was talked about as potentially the greatest of the season in OA4, it didn't exactly live up to its hype. But this is the rematch, the chance for the Raiders to put down the predators, can they do it or will the Predators once again make the Reef Raiders their Prey?
Cook Island Pirates @ Newcastle Ghosts
Two more 'newcomers' to the AA2 league, both have a lot to live up to, after finished off what was a well played season in A, both start their season in AA with stiff competition against one another, while their stats may not be glaring, the games they played speak for themselves. Both teams have alot ot offer, but the question is, do they have a lot to offer each other?
Sempre-Sabbat Phenix @ Cairn City Crocodiles
After falling short in the clutch last season to the Assassins who were finally able to 'conquer their demons', there is no doubt that SSP will be looking to make a statement in each game of the season, starting in game 1. But I have no doubt that Cairn City has something to say about that, they have a very balanced team but will need superior game planning to pull this one out. It should be a great game, and as we've seen in the past, anything can happen in OAA2.
Williamsport Soul Reavers @ Sumatra Sea Hawks
Possibly the 3rd best team in OA4 last season, the Soul Reavers have once again arrived in OAA2. They begin their season with a lot to prove and would like nothing better than to do that against one of the best teams in AA2. After falling short in the playoffs of their goal the Reavers look to make a strong statement about where they stand in the scheme of competition this season. The Sea hawks however, are no slouch they can bang it with the best of them and there is little doubt that the plan in week 1 is exactly that. The Sea hawks never go down without a fight and is there any doubt that they're going to put one up in week 1? This game could go either way and could be the most balanced game of the week.
BUT......
*Game of the Week*
Johnstown Atoll Americans @ Florida Frenzy
The game of the week, is between what is known to be one of the best teams in AA vs. a team that hasn't lost in 20 games and is already expected to keep winning and potenitally win it all at the end of the season. Both of these teams have the same goal in mind, like everyone, the championship. But their road to the championship starts in week 1. Can the Americans slay the beast that is Florida Frenzy or will the Frenzy tear through its next victim? If you miss it, its your loss.
