We will be treating veteran XP kinda similarly to fame next season in regards to signing outside the suggested levels for the league you play in. If you sign as an FA or get traded at too high of a level, you'll receive reduced VXP, up to and including zero points if you're way over. No effect on normal XP, though. This is to encourage veteran players to find their way to more level appropriate leagues during the FA process, and perhaps help bolster some of the floundering upper tier teams who need help with some higher level talent.

So, keep an eye on those suggested levels on the "Leagues" page.

I just thought I'd put this out there to fellow BBB agents and owners. Those of you with high level guys, keep in mind those players will be getting fewer or maybe even zero VP's if you're over the league's recommended levels. Most BBB leagues have maximum recommended levels of 27 on some to 34 on the higher leagues. These ranges are bound to notch up a level or two slightly as some people boost at the beginning of the season here...

But... if you're more than a level or two above the suggested maximum, or if you own a team with players well above the maximum, you should strongly consider finding your guys another team and/or trading those players to higher leagues to prevent them from losing veteran exp this season.

Right, because if someone really wants to remain on my team and sacrifice their VXP to stay here for a year before getting bumped up I'm going to say "Sorry pal! You're just too high for us!"

Nice try buddy...no really...it was.

My guys ain't goin' nowhere. We'll be competitive right away when we move up.This system just punishes owners trying to improve their teams with good recruiting efforts.

Oh no, maybe I should move my QB and SS off of my team then!

Seriously, I'm willing to make that sacrifice in this stage of my players careers in order to help make my team better and a championship contender. Thanks for the heads up though

I'm just saying it's something to think about because no one is really talking about it. Bort wants to stop high level guys from flooding the lower leagues and imbalancing things. Good recruiting efforts, lol... anyone can recruit random high level guys. The tough parts is recruiting players with very good builds for their levels.

If someone wants to sacrifice their VXP to play in a lower league like this, that's fine I guess. I'm mainly talking about agents who aren't aware or haven't even thought about it.

Honestly, the only way to keep high level guys off the BBB's to replace the cap level. I thought it was silly to remove the cap limit on BBB leagues.

I could care less, but if you want teams to not be allowed to have higher levels the requested, send a message to support or Bort himself. I'm sure he won't do anything, but trust me that is about the only way it won't happen.

Hey, I have a good sense of humor about the whole Pats situation, just look at my avatar. I guess I've always been more of the camp that you want to recruit solid builds and let the team grow together. Anyways, it turns out that Bort is grandfathering in higher level players who are already on teams. This only applies to FA's and trades from this season forward, so I guess it's not as big of an issue for the guys already here as I thought.

that was very very clear in the very first post in this thread - the one you created - the Bort announcement you pasted ...

let me pull out the partial sentence: If you sign as an FA or get traded at too high of a level... yup, thems the words.

I have five players over level 30 on my team. Thing is, so do most of the other teams in BBB#5. No way I will cripple my team by pulling them for some extra VXP. They will have to make do with the 7-11 points of Vetern Abilities they have until we can get promoted. Of course by then they will be 38-40ish level with their nicely solid builds and will help my team compete in A#3

tell me, did you just sign those players during this off- season? did you just trade for those players during the off-season?

My guys are going to feel the pinch because the level got lowered during the offseason.

When i started to recruit it was at 33 now it is at 27. Most of my team would have been fine but now msot of my team is going to hurt because they switched it in the middle.

yes, and that is the point, i guess ... the BORT announcement copied above CLEARLY states Free Agents and Trades NOT existing team players who have merely leveled up while being on your team.
