After closely examining every team in the East and the West (looking at average level at every position), I've come up with the power rankings for Season 8 in Canada A7. Here they are:
EAST:
1. Halifax Harpoons (54 overall; both offensive and defensive lines are strengths)
2. Square-Enix All-Stars (54 overall; best average overall levels of any team in the league)
3. Alert Sentinels (54 overall; very solid from top to bottom, LBs are a strength)
4. Texas Death Dealers (54 overall; QB could be an issue, but the defense is stout)
5. New Brunswick Beatdown (54 overall; offensive line will be a be advantage)
6. Niagra Maulers (54 overall; both offensive and defensive lines are build very well)
7. Cleveland Brown Dawgs (54 overall; DL and LBs are strengths)
8. Texas Hogsnakes (54 overall; weak O-Line compared to the other contenders)
9. Weyburn Wolverines (54 overall; should rely on their running game to compete for a playoff spot)
10. Kingston Demons (54 overall; O-Line is way too weak to compete in this league)
11. Hell's Reapers (51 overall; very average team overall, no players higher than level 38)
12. Lake Michigan Maelstrom (51 overall; D-Line won't put much pressure on many teams)
13. Ontario Beavers (54 overall; only strength here is the O-line, but after that, the team is actually very weak)
14. International Falls Bronkos (51 overall; weak across the board - really too bad you weren't bumped down a league because you will get owned again this year)
15. Winnipeg Wooly Mammoth (48 overall; just like the Bronkos, just some bad luck that you got bumped up...won't be a very fun season for you)
16. Littlerock Razorbacks (30 overall; a shame they fell from grace so quickly, they were a fun team to play against and a competitive team for so many seasons - best of luck in the future)
WEST:
1. Canada Defenders (57 overall; easily the best team in the league - not sure if anybody will knock them off...can you say undefeated?)
2. Spooner Snow Fleas (54 overall; very solid defense)
3. Saskatoon Falcons (54 overall; also a very solid team from top to bottom...putting the snow fleas above the falcons was like splitting hairs)
4. Darkside Cowboys (54 overall; the O-Line could be a big weakness...it is still BBB quality)
5. Coldstream Caribou (51 overall; well-built D-line and a good HB is a recipe for success)
6. Ohio Valley Legends (54 overall; again, the O-line is second rate which could hurt down the stretch)
7. North Alaska Insomniacs (54 overall; maybe the best CBs in the league, but everything else is lacking)
8. Albany Mohicans (51 overall; now here's where the conference really drops off)
9. Port Jervis Reddogs (51 overall; one good OL, everything else is garage sale material)
10. Berlin Red Stars (51 overall; man, the West is REALLY bad)
11. The Far North Ice Hoggs (51 overall; still a BBB team)
12. Atlanta Flash (48 overall; has CPU players, nuff said)
13. Regina Outlaws (45 overall; no player higher than a level 29...ouch!)
14. Rochester Red Raiders (42 overall; only bright spot? a good QB)
15. Winnipeg Wolverines (42 overall; this team doesn't even have a QB right now...)
16. Snoqualmie Wildcats (15 overall; rebuilding? maybe? has all level 1's for the most part)
It's pretty clear that overall, the East is leaps and bounds better than the West, and what I mean by that is the 13th and 14th ranked teams in the East could probably make the playoffs with ease if they were in the West. However, the West does have the best team with the Canada Defenders and I'm not sure anybody beats them (especially not from their own conference). If anybody would like a more detailed breakdown of their team or anybody else's team, send me a PM and I'll give you the position by position breakdown and analysis. Otherwise, good luck to everybody in Season 8 and I'm glad we don't have the Mag. Bastards or Dictators here anymore.![](/images/game/forum/smileys/smile.gif)
