As voted on by 15 total ballots:

Lion:
1. Tanzania Lumberjacks
2. African Fever
3. Durban DesertHawks
4. Zambezi Silverbacks
5. South African Ratels
6. Ghana Empire
7. Zambia Zombies
8. Djibouti Booties

Elephant
1. Tar River Pirates
2. Uganda Mounties
3. Cincy Bengals
4. Ikari Warriors
5. Cairo Cougars
6. Rock N Roll Express
7. Seychelles Roosters
8. Kenya KO

This is how the top vote getters looked:

Tar River Pirates- 80 points
Uganda- 73 points
Tanzania- 70 points
Cincy- 47 points
African Fever- 46 points
Durban- 40 points

Thats how the top 6 panned out.

voting was tallied using a reverse points formula...
being there were 8 teams listed you got 8 points for being listed #1.
7 points for #2, 6 points for #3, etc...

Interesting to see some teams that have been hyped up not at the top, and several "hated" teams listed at the top.
Also interesting to see the newcomers to the league getting some love.

I hope to continue this ever 4 games.

Comments and Banter welcomed

-----There was only ONE lion team to NOT receive a vote, while there were 3 Elephant teams that got shut out.

-----Out of 15 ballots only 3 teams had a vote of themselves at #1. These 3 teams all received a top 2 position in their respective league.

----In the elephant conference, only 3 teams received a first place vote.

----In the lion conference, 4 teams received first place votes.

The jacks were either a #1 or #2 pick or they showed up somewhere around 6-8

Añyone who thinks the Jacks aren't finishing in the top 2 in Lion and a serious contender for a perfect season don't know what they're talking about.

Looking at the Lion conference, nobody will be undefeated.
When you look at Durban...their offense looks pretty average...but the defense looks stacked.
The Jacks...they are difficult to pick up on as well.

Ive watched alot of film on both teams and havent seen much to warrant a perfect season.

I agree you add in some of the new teams that is obviously very good, I think Lion should be a good battle all around.

Which is why it has been so much fun the past few seasons to play in. Last season especially I thought was just a lot of fun to be a part of.

While I don't like the Zombies placement in the poll, I can't really argue it either. The LC is seriously stacked.

As others have said, it should be fun...

Where are the Glocks?... They look pretty good to me...

Glocks were a team that got a few high votes...then a few shut out ballots.

all right, right now, ghana is the most underrated on that list. they have kicked our butts twice bad, played the top dawgs close, even beating pangani last year. they should at the very least be above us.

i don't know enough about the fever yet, but at least one promoted team from A usually plays pretty well each year in every league i have been in. until the fever prove otherwise, i think ghana should be at least third and durban second. fever can have fourth.

durbans problem so far has been focus. they sometimes lose to teams you would not think possible. but when they are focused they are mean and nasty.

however, this season looks like no game will be a cake walk. i love and hate that part.
