Warrior General Games

Three very long-time OPL teams have moved down and converted to slow builds this season. If someone knows of more add them here. I figured I'd post this so they don't have to. I know recruiting threads are usually frowned upon in league forums, but I'm going to figure this is okay or at least is should be. I've had players on quite a few teams with some guys I normally match up against here in OPL and they're always classy.

Tonga Ikale Tahi kept the TiTs moniker even though ownership changed. They're now the Tuvalu Island Tyrants. New owner TheInstantClassic was a long time associate of the Sharks and G-Town connection, and last season OC'd for both Cook Island and Tonga. He's looking for players and would love to fill the team with OPL faces. His main needs right now are OL. Starting spots are available and backups are needed.

The Melbourne Thorny Devils have also dropped down and gone the slow build route. SCACE remains the owner and their roster is chocked full of former MTD and Heat players starting out their next generation of players. I see a few holes yet on their roster including a QB and a kicker.

The Vanuata Kava Sharks are the final team I know of. Their roster looks pretty full, but I can see need for a WR or two. Cable Jelly remains the owner.

BTW, I can't speak for all the teams, but this is by far a better way to go than the d-leagues. You'll get max experience and all three teams kept their stadiums and fan support so money will be no object for upgrading your gear. They should be able to take care of you for many many seasons.

Thanks for your unnecessary comment. Point is to see if anyone wanted to bring another player up in O-Pro.

I support this thread in being relevant. The opportunity to play with Scace almost makes me want to create a player.

As I said. Most of us view OPL as a bit of a community. Despite playing against each other we're also civil, respectful, and admire those we play against. A chance to play on a team with people we normally play against, there are people here who'd be glad to know about that.

Woah just came back here after reading all about the craziness in main forum....kind of a mis understanding here.

Post this thread there with "Oceania pro slow build". There are alot of players that scan through over there and will mis this post here.

I really don't know what you beef is with me because I have never posted anything of ill will towards you or any of your teams. Nor have I posted anything out of line on these forums.

To Scace: I appolgize if you were offended by my earlier post with a link to "teams looking for players forum". That was not the intention and I wish you the best in you slowbuilding endeavors.

You are the only team that's ever advanced to OPL that has people from your old league forum following you up here to tell people you're jerks in a thread about your team. That's a statement of fact. Read into it what you want. You're also the only team I can remember that's come up with a reputation for anything other than being a good team. A reputation you seem to embrace as a team that talks smack and likes to stir trouble. An Oceania AAA lite version of Cobra Kai.

TIC happens to be a GM for my team and have a player on the Convicts he moved over this season. He's had players and ties with OPL and AAA for many seasons. He, like Scace, is pretty well thought of here. I see TIC started the thread about your team, and it turned ugly when others with players in AAA started to share their views of you. I've tried hard not to judge you because I see how you'd be on the defensive if you saw that thread even if it was started as an honest question. But you make withholding judgment hard when you seem to be trying hard to live up to the reputation you say you only embraced to keep the your AAA league forum interesting.

Honestly, I took your link to the recruiting forum the same way SCACE did. Maybe you were trying to be helpful, but when you're on the record saying you like to be jerks in the forums you sort of make it hard to give you the benefit of the doubt.

OPL is the best league in GLB because it's not full of jerks who talk smack and insult each other (USA Pro, Kai in SA Pro). It's not full of morons (Most posters in CPL). It's a classy and supporting league. Even our disagreements and tiffs are usually settled with apologies and e-handshakes. Half of the teams here have agents with players on other OPL teams. Many are GM's for teams in both Alpha and Zeta, even sometimes for multiple teams in the same conference. It's a pretty close-knit group. We pride ourselves on being the classy, mature league.

That's my two cents. Take it as non-offensive and constructive please because that's how it's meant. I see you've said a few times you want to get along and have fun. If you really want to fit in here in OPL and make friends, you might want to chill just a bit. At some point if drama just keeps following you around it's hard to say you aren't causing it.

Peace and good luck this season. (Except when you're playing us.) I'm hoping this can be the end of this and I can go on to hating you for being Buckeyes and nothing else.

Just for the record it was 1 sore loser from AAA that posted up here. The rest is from the uninformed OPL players that have never played a down with us.

Sorry man, I'm as much to blame for jumping to conclusions --- I was stuck over in the VP/SP debacle all day and just posted quick -- no harm, no foul in my books.
