Ok the season is getting closer and I was wondering who everyone thought would compete for their respective conferences. Here's mine:

Alpha:

1) Bayou Bandits: The Bandits are coming off of a Championship in season 7. They appear to have most of their team returning and should use their playoff experience to their advantage. The biggest questions might be how they respond to tougher competition in AA and whether their defense can stand up to some of the powerful offenses in AA.

2) Turin Colonels: Another new team to the conference, the Colonels had a great playoff run in season 7. They will likely make the playoffs again this year but their roster looks to be just a tad bit less powerful than some other teams.

3) Cardiff Dragons: Yes I am biased. . Cardiff has been making some moves in the offseason to shore up some areas of concern. But the biggest problem has been two seasons in a row of being bounced out of the playoffs. Have we made enough changes?

4) Steel City War Machine: I have no idea how they only won 2 games last season but these guys are loaded. They have ONE player below level 40. Yeah, that sucks. If everyone on their team boosts they will have 11 Players who are level 50 or higher.

Well if Steel City sucked that badly in AAA, maybe one of 3 things happened:
A. They have HORRIBLE builds. In which case their downward spiral should continue.
B. They recruited late last season, which means they got the benefit of AAA recruiting for a AA team.
C. They have absolutely horrible gameplans. Which is kind of like A.

Unless LL is right and they have crappy builds, those guys are going to kick the crap out of everyone.

I hope the Glaciers can make the playoffs in Season 8. But there's a lot of familiar faces around here from West Europe A#3, so I know the competition will be tough.

OPTION A: They have several guys with open builds....they are not kicking the crap out of anyone....There are guys on other teams 6-8 levels lower with better overall builds...

Bayou looks real tough, blew away Turin twice last year. Cardiff also has good looking squad. Can't really argue with the top 3, but Steel City is questionable.

Who knows though, when the season starts and all the player nerfs are released and the sim is changed, anything can happen....

Good luck to everyone this season! Can't wait to get started!

Yeah I didn't have time to go look through every player so that would explain it. I think there are other teams that will do well too.

True story here. But then again they blew everyone away. lol. I took over as owner of Turin at the beginning of the playoffs when our jackass owner went MIA. Added some good pieces for this year but no doubt it will be a tough run.

Good luck to everyone.

Sorry to hear about the lame owner. But I am glad for you and your team that you stepped in. I liked Turin when we were in A together, never overlooked them. Glad the team stayed around. Good luck this season.
