Any idea on how many will be going up this season? Or should I say how many teams have folded and will be plumeting to the bottom leagues?

I'm going to guess the the top 5 or 6 in each conference. Given that the Freedom hasn't given two shakes about the scrimmages, I think we'll end up staying here.

I was trying to figure this out for my A2 team. It looks like several teams are going to call it quits in the Pro's, AAA, and AA. So the potential to move up seems good for teams that might not have moved up w/o winning your conference championship.

Not mentioning the teams that will promote and relegate based on their placement in the standings, here are teams that have either gone CPU, plan to go CPU (thru reading forum posts), or plan to rebuild (read in forums, but not sure if they'll move down but I found this in Wiki; "Bort is also adding a way to "flag" teams for the same demotion who are not sold but are really terrible or way too low leveled, such as slow build teams"). There are also some teams that have not stated they're going CPU, have an owner but have a CPU or mostly CPU roster.

Here is the list of teams that will or might find their way down to BBB ("* = potential for BBB"):

Pro West:
Dallas Orangebloods (CPU)
*Anchorage Penguins (owner, but CPU roster)

Pro East:
Arizona Termites (CPU)
Doomsday Sin (CPU)
*Philadelphia Sin (onwer, but CPU roster)
*Orlando Pirates (mentioned disbanding in forum post)

AAA#1 West:
*Packmentality Werewolves (mentioned disbanding in forum post)

AAA#1 East:
Chicago CBMB (CPU)
*Long Island Ice Tea (forum post)
*Dallas Zombies (forum post)
*Phoenix Rising/Hollywood (starting over per forum post)
*Parsippany Pain (forum post)

AA#1 West:
Tulsa Teamsters (CPU)
La Jolla Surf (CPU)

AA#1 East
Washington Whipping Boys (CPU)
*Rapid City (team lvl in teens, well under leveled)

So there is the list as of today of the CPU teams, those stating they'll disband, or troubled teams. So the potential for teams in the A1 and A2 is good for additional teams to move up. I won't get my hopes up, but my fingers are crossed. Once again, here are the rules for promotion:

Number of playoff victories
Number of playoff games participated in (this covers the first round losers over the non playoff teams)
Regular season wins
Regular season ties
Regular season points scored
Regular season points against (lower is better)
Postseason scrimmage wins (not friendlies)
Postseason scrimmage ties (not friendlies)
Avg playoff game points differential
Avg postseason scrimmage points differential
Avg playoff points scored
Avg postseason scrimmage points scored
Avg playoff points allowed (lower is better)
Avg postseason scrimmages points allowed (lower is better)
Random selection.
Note that no teams are promoted in the Pro leagues as they are the top tier of the pyramid.

Two teams from each league still move up, like normal.
However if the league above yours had more then two teams moved up or get gutted then more teams from your league will be promoted in the order that Bort listed.
Regions will stay the same, if you're in USA you will always be USA.
Teams that move up from the bottom league are replaced by all the sold teams from the higher leagues, and the worst teams in the league above them.
Example:

Sold teams in USA Pro go to USA BBB, not to AAA. They are reset to starting values (stadium, cash, etc).

Additionally, teams that are sold during the season will be relegated as well, but they will go to the bottom tier of the region with empty spots will be filled in by promotions from the tiers below. Once the teams have been dropped, they will be resold with reset stadiums, fan support, cash, and a full CPU roster (not unlike a new expansion team).

I'm curious if we drop or not. There are 16 teams listed and he didn't count A#1's 5 CPU teams
