Tensions are high this week as the elephant conference playoff teams look to prove they are the best of the best. Although some of us don't like each other too much, I think we can all agree that this conference has been highly competitive and by far much better than the Lion conference. I think our #8 seed is better than their #5. Good luck everyone, except Cardiff.
Freetown Jayhawks (13-3) W7 vs. Cardiff Cobras (11-5) W1
Freetown won the regular season matchup easily, but that was way back in week 2. A lot has changed since then and anything can happen in the playoffs. Both teams have a pretty balanced passing and rushing offense and are top 5 in the conference in both of those categories. I expect this one will be pretty high scoring, but who knows.

Madagascar Wild (14-2) W8 vs. Lethoso Rollers (10-6) W9
Both of these teams enter the playoffs on huge winning streaks and look to be unstoppable. Lethoso needs to figure out a way to stop the Wild's strong running duo. On the other hand the Wild will have their hands full stopping the impressive passing game of Lethoso. I'm going to call for the upset here with a Lethoso win by a late FG.
Lethoso-38 Madagascar-35
Mauritius Mountain Lions (13-3) W3 vs. Michigan Nation (11-5) W1
Mauritius has a really good pass rush and another thing I've noticed which I hadn't talked about much all season is their incredible rush defense numbers. They allow less than 50 yards a game on the ground! Michigan did beat them 5 weeks ago so this one could obviously go either way. I expect Michigan to go pass crazy in this one...we'll see if Mauritius cans top them.
Mauritius-31 Michigan-28
Zimbabwe Hyenas (16-0) W16 vs. Egyptian War Gods (9-7) L4
Egypt played Zimbabwe fairly close for the first half last time these two teams played, but got blown out in the second half. Egypt really had a lot of problems shutting down the Zimbabwe passing game so they will need to take a look at their defensive issues there. Overall they just need to hope for some turnovers and control the clock to keep the game close into the 4Q. It is possible they could upset Zimbabwe, but I'm not confident.
