Well here we are, 4 and a half hours from the first round games.
Thought perhaps we need some predictions:
(1) E'ci FAlkruns vs. (8) Happy Hour
Well i think we all know how this one will end up. It's truly unfortunate for the other teams who were close and got pushed out. I think the only real question is will E'ci have enough oxygen stocked on the sidelines to keep our players from dying of exhaustion from all the TD's. It would have made a much more interesting playoffs had HH switched to level 1 players one game sooner.
I predict E'ci destroys 378-0.
(2) MaRAWK!! o vs. (7) Cairo Cougars
This game looks like it could be a lot more interesting. These teams are coming off the 2nd and 3rd longest winning streaks in the conference, both max chemistry and both teams have similar level starters.
Their last meeting in Week 10 left MaRAWK with a victory over Cairo 33-10, though this is the last time Cairo lost. I think this will turn out to be a very good game as both teams try their best to push on into the second round of the playoffs. However as my prediction I feel that MaRAWK will push ahead of them out in a tough game.
MaRAWK over Cairo 35-24.
(3) Wachootoo Shikakas vs. (6) Uganda Mounties
I feel that this game will not be quite as close as the Marawko/Cairo matchup. Wachootoo is coming off a great season where even most of their losses being close games. Uganda on the other hand will be stuggling this game with a lot of late season losses, a somewhat lower chemistry and level of starters compared to the great white bats.
Their previous meeting resulted in a decisive 41-10 win for Wachootoo which i think will be telling for the result of this game. Uganda will try their best and hopefully use their experience against Wachootoo to game plan for them but as long as Wachootoo puts in a solid game plan I think you will see a similar result after this game.
Wachootoo defeats Uganda 51-21
(4) The Chad OchoCinco vs. (5) Wisconsin Cowboys from Hell
This will probably be the game of the week in the EC. These two teams wound up with identical records, with a Head to Head deciding their final rankings. Their last meeting, an early season 30-20 victory for the fighting 85, was much closer stat wise than it would appear, with 4 sacks and slightly more Offense by Chad giving them the win.
From looking at levels, matchup comparison and results from similar opponents it would appear that Chad still has a small advantage over Wisconsin in this struggle between two strong teams. It's going to come down to who wants it more and who puts the most effort into their game plan (and of course a little random luck that can push it either way) This game could be an upset but i feel that Chad Ocho Cinco will pull this one out in a close game.
Chad Ocho Cinco over the Wisconsin Cowboys from Hell 30-17
There could be a Home team upset, but i just don't see it this week barring game plan mistakes.
Good luck everyone today.
