I believe that the 4 and 5 seeds of both conferences are going to be the best games this first round of the playoffs

ALPHA Conference -

London Apes -VS- Paris Vikings

Despite getting blown out in week 15 of the regular season (13-63) I think the playoffs will compel their game plans to play a bit better. Paris closed the season losing 3 of their last 4, while the Apes lost 2 of their final 3. Don't think this will bode well with either owner or the coordinators coming into this game. I look for a hard fought game from both sides, but I'm picking the Apes to grab an early lead and to comfortably advance to round 2.

ZETA Conference -

Luxembourg Grand Duchy -VS- Chi-Town Hustlers

Both teams come into this round 1 match-up posting offensive numbers landing them in the top 5 and strong defensive numbers with top 10 rankings. Luxembourg took the regular season match-up (38-17). So look for them to sweep the season series. But don't count on the Hustlers to just limp out of the playoffs so easliy. If Kieth Olbermann of the Hustlers can complete as many passes as Almost 2Slow of LGD runs the ball, look for a one score game in the final box score.

We are gunning to a win, but Chi-Town has played tough.

Luxembourg and Chi-Town is going to be a good game definitely. Hopefully we can keep closer this time around and pull a W in the end.

Some major upsets in the playoffs for some other leagues....I have a player in SE Asia AA where the 6, 7, and 8 seeds all won their 1st round games in a league similar to ours. Don't overlook anyone....

4vs5 games are always the best. Much bigger differences usually between the 1vs8 and 2vs7.... unless of course 1 seed boosted early and 8 seed boosted late.

I took my GM team the Backbreakers and beat the 3rd seed today 14-10... But I game planned for that and it actually worked LOL... Its playoff time, you never know!

Exactly. Playoff time is when the big plays come out and the new offenses/defenses are shown.

Paris over the Apes. Now that must have been an even matchup.
Cancun over Copenhagen. That was foreseeable.
Ukraine over the Rattlers. Also foreseeable.
Scorps over Lubeck. Close game. Lubeck plays solid I think.

I think the next playoff games could go either way but I hope it's Ukraine vs. Cancun.
