Vilnius Iron Wolves(15-1) vs. WhatsaMatta U Fighting Elk(8-8) - I don't know that the Fighting Elk are happy to make the playoffs since they have to face a hungry Iron Wolves squad that decimated them 55-10 earlier in the season. If they are going to have any chance this time, the Elks surprising #3 rushing attack will have to find some holes in the Wolves #1 rushing D. Their #14 passing attack will not fare well against the Wolves who lead the conference in getting to the QB(130 Sacks, 230 Hurries). Look for the Wolves to counter with QB Tom 8ra4y(#1 in passing yards, #2 in Passing TD) to WR James(Spanky) Henderson(#1 in receiving yards and TDs) with a healthy dose of HB Cary Stayner(#3 in rushing yardage) to keep the defense honest. My Magic 8-ball says the Elk manage to keep this game closer, but not by much...............................Vilnius 49.....WhatsaMatta U 14
Cosa Nostra Hitmen(13-3) vs. Morgantown Biscuits(12-4) - Cosa Nostra won the first match-up between these two teams(45-33) on the strength of their potent passing game and 2 INTs of Morgantown QB Fletch F. Fletch. Both teams have solid, if unspectacular, offenses and defenses with few if any holes. There will be no love lost between them as this game turns into a brutal slugfest that will come down to the wire. My Magic 8-ball says ........................................Cosa Nostra 32.....Morgantown 30
Black Russian Terriers(14-2) vs. Kazakhstan Dragons(9-7) - The Dragons gave the Terriers all they could handle last time in a losing effort(19-10) and are looking to upend the Terriers in the playoffs. Kazakhstan will probably go to the air early and often with their #2 passing attack to see if they can find any holes in the Terriers #1 pass defense. Black Russian will probably counter with their solid running game, pounding the ball and controlling the clock. My Magic 8-ball says the lack of a Dragons running game forces them to throw too often, leading to several critical mistakes .............................................................Black Russian 30.....Kazakhstan 17
Tallinn Tigers(14-2) vs. Belarus Death Machine(11-5) - After a couple of close, early-season losses, the Tigers have been on a roll decimatimg teams on a regular basis. One of their few close wins was against Belarus(19-10). A defensive battle in which there were virtually no mistakes (only 2 FF recovered by the offense and 1 Sack). This game will be another battle as Belarus will probably lean on their #1 rushing attack and Tallinn will try to exploit the secondary of Belarus. Both of these teams are very good at gameplanning and don't be surprised if they throw something new at their opponents to catch them off-guard. My Magic 8-ball takes the upset in this game.............Tallinn 28.....Belarus 30
