this is the way i see it going down

East
1 Cherry Pies - DUH
2 Golden Eagles- Win over Flyers and BBB's loss to Pies puts them here
3 Quakes- Win over Machine and BBB's loss puts them here
4 Punch- Win over the knights and they own the tie breaker against BBB puts them here
5 BBB - Tough game at the end of the season moves them down 3 spots
6. Cat Sharks- They own the tie breaker over the Machine and NAC
7 Machine- Loss to the Quakes puts them down in the 7 hole
8 NAC- 6 game win streak gets them the 8th seed, and their death to the pies lol

i think that makes sense

In case anybody is really curious, here's the rundown I put together for my team forum on playoffs scenarios for the last three spots in the East. Apologies for it being a little Catshark-centric; like I said, it was for my team forum:

#6 Moncton Machine (9-6): Quakes (pL) - lost to Flin Flon, beat Chronic, lost to Catsharks, lost to Knights, 872 total points

#7 Flin Flon Flyers (8-7): Golden Eagles (pL) - beat Machine, lost to Chronic, beat Catsharks, beat Knights, 668 total points

#8 Chronic (8-7): Blumpkins (pW) - lost to Machine, beat Flin Flon, lost to Catsharks, beat Knights, 575 total points

#9 Catsharks (8-7): Bacon (W) - beat Machine, lost to Flyers, beat Chronic, lost to Knights, 565 total points

#10 Halifax Knights (8-7): Punch (pL) - beat Machine, lost to Flyers, lost to Chronic, beat Catsharks, 559 total points

Assuming Catsharks win, here are the scenarios:
1. MM win, FFF win, NAC win, HK win - #6 Machine (10-6), #7 Flyers (9-7, 2-1 vs 9-7 teams), #8 Chronic (9-7, 2-1 vs 9-7 teams)
2. MM win, FFF win, NAC win, HK lose - #6 Machine (10-6), #7 Flyers (9-7, 1-1 vs 9-7 teams, more points), #8 Catsharks or Chronic (9-7, 1-1 vs 9-7 teams, most points wins)
3. MM win, FFF win, NAC lose, HK win - #6 Machine (10-6), #7 Flyers (9-7, 2-0 vs 9-7 teams, #8 Knights (9-7, 1-1 vs 9-7 teams)
4. MM win, FFF win, NAC lose, HK lose - #6 Machine (10-6), #7 Flyers (9-7, beat us), #8 Catsharks (9-7)
5. MM win, FFF lose, NAC win, HK win - #6 Machine (10-6), #7 Catsharks or Chronic or Knights (9-7, 1-1 vs 9-7 teams, most points wins)
6. MM win, FFF lose, NAC win, HK lose - #6 Machine (10-6), #7 Catsharks (9-7, beat NAC), #8 Chronic (9-7, lost to PRC)
7. MM win, FFF lose, NAC lose, HK win - #6 Machine (10-6), #7 Knights (9-7, beat us), #8 Catsharks (9-7)
8. MM win, FFF lose, NAC lose, HK lose - #6 Machine (10-6), #7 Catsharks (9-7), #8 Chronic (8-8, 2-0 vs 8-8 teams)
9. MM lose, FFF win, NAC win, HK win - #6 Flyers (9-7, 3-1 vs 9-7 teams), #7 Catsharks or Chronic or Knights (9-7, 2-2 vs 9-7 teams)
10. MM lose, FFF win, NAC win, HK lose - #6 Flyers (9-7, 2-1 vs 9-7 teams, more points), #7 Catsharks (9-7, 2-1 vs 9-7 teams), #8 Machine (9-7, 1-2 vs 9-7 teams, more points)
11. MM lose, FFF win, NAC lose, HK win - #6 Flyers (9-7, 3-0 vs 9-7 teams), #7 Knights (9-7, 2-1 vs 9-7 teams), #8 Catsharks (9-7, 1-2 vs 9-7 teams)
12. MM lose, FFF win, NAC lose, HK lose - #6 Flyers (9-7, 2-0 vs 9-7 teams), #7 Catsharks (9-7, 1-1 vs 9-7 teams), #8 Machine (9-7, 0-2 vs 9-7 teams)
13. MM lose, FFF lose, NAC win, HK win - #6 Catsharks or Knights (9-7, 2-1 vs 9-7 teams), #8 Machine (9-7, 1-2 vs 9-7, more points)
14. MM lose, FFF lose, NAC win, HK lose - #6 Catsharks (9-7, 2-0 vs 9-7 teams), #7 Machine (9-7, 1-1 vs 9-7 teams), #8 Chronic (9-7, 0-2 vs 9-7 teams)
15. MM lose, FFF lose, NAC lose, HK win - #6 Knights (9-7, 2-0 vs 9-7 teams), #7 Catsharks (9-7, 1-1 vs 9-7 teams), #8 Machine (9-7, 0-2 vs 9-7 teams)
16. MM lose, FFF lose, NAC lose, HK lose - #6 Catsharks (9-7, beat Machine), #7 Machine (9-7, lost to Catsharks), #8 Chronic (8-8, 2-0 vs 8-8 teams)

An interesting factor is that many of these come down to the points scored, which is the tiebreaker after overall record and record vs opponents with the same record. Flin Flon and Moncton are way head there, with New Amsterdam (575), Prince Rupert (565) and Halifax (559) bunched pretty tightly. The Catsharks probably have the edge there, with the Canadian Bacon coming up week 16 ... it's easy to imagine them making up 10 points against the third-worst defense in the league.

Unless the Lights beat you guys your playoff setup can't happen Bill.

Basically it will be one of 2 ways and it will depend on the Hunter/Wizard game

If Hunters win it will be:
Demons vs Bears
Pit vs Lights
knights vs Wizards
Warriors vs Hunters

If the Wizards win it will be:
Demons vs Bears
Pit vs Wizards
Knights vs Hunters
Warriors vs Lights

11. MM lose, FFF win, NAC lose, HK win - #6 Flyers (9-7, 3-0 vs 9-7 teams), #7 Knights (9-7, 2-1 vs 9-7 teams), #8 Catsharks (9-7, 1-2 vs 9-7 teams)

While I'm not keen on the ones where MM ends up with the #8 seed, I really, really, really don't like this scenario.

It's been a wild and crazy season in the East.

MM finally beats BBB and NAC. At the time, the win over BBB, while satisfying after last season, didn't seem like that big of a deal but BBB ended up towards the top of the conference as the season progressed.

Hawaiian Punch gave the Pies their toughest game, yet are sitting at 10-5. To be fair to the Punchies, all of their losses were by single digits and two were decided by 3 points.

The Quakes are sitting at 11-4 but have been hammered in 3 of their 4 losses.

I could go on, but you get the picture....wild and crazy.

Bashemgud is concerned for two reasons...

1. What could cap off a wild and crazy season better than the 16-0 team bowing out early?
2. The Pies play-off history (I'd worry more about #1)

Good luck tonight folks!
