I was just checking to see if there was interest in deciding regular season awards this time around.

Offensive MVP, Defensive MVP, and maybe an All Star Team.

For the MVPs i was thinking of each team nominating 3-5 players from their own team, and compliling a ballot for everyone to vote on.

All Star. I'll split it between Alpha and Zeta, if people are willing to vote I'll count and post the votes no problem.

If there isn't an interest in any of thise, or if anyone has any other ideas or suggestions let me know

I like the idea of MVPs.

I don't think I'll take the time to do a full-on All-Star team.

Honestly for MVP I think everyone should nominate 1 player from every team in their division except their own, it might make it more interesting that way. I think it would force people to hopefully see the other truly what the other players have acomplished. I really dont think it will matter though because most people will vote for the players on their own team at the end of the day, but this could sway a vote or 2 in another direction.

As far as the all star voting is concerned, I think 1 player from each team per position should be on the ballot and then voted on by everone in that division. If you want I could get an all star ballot together for Zeta and posted so we can start voting. Let me know.

Ok we'll go with BigNugg's idea doe all star voting. Im at work so I wouldnt be able to put a ballot together for Alpha until tuesday.

For the mvp's I was thinking after teams nominate their 2-3 players, they give a little paragraph on why each player deserves the spot. Then voting is open to the public but you cant vote for someone on your team. Its either that or we come u with a top 5 finalist list for everyone to vote on.

i like the idea of looking outside your team but that could also hurt the more active teams, what are everyone's thoughts on this?

What about something like this:

Every owner nominated 1 offensive, 1 defensive, and one "other" for the pool of candidates.

Each team gets 1 ballot - Owners can fill them out themselves or get input from their team, but the owners vote.

Each ballot votes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each of the 3 categories, Offensive MVP, Defensive MVP, and League MVP.

The player in each category with the most points is our MVP.

We can still do Nuggs Allstar team thing too.

The only other thing I would suggest is, nobody can win more than one award. In other words, if you are League MVP you cannot also be Offensive (or Defensive) MVP. Share the wealth a bit.

I agree with the keep it simple idea.

It seems inevitable that the league MVP will be either the offensive or defensive MVP as well.

Maybe we just need to do one league MVP vote. Owners submit 2 names from their team and vote as described above with a 1st place vote being worth 3 pts, second place vote is worth 2 pts, and a 3rd place vote being worth 1 pt.

Highest total gets the League MVP.
